@tech42er: Oh no, and you're not the first to ask, but I'm keeping my lips sealed, stock has already run out once, and accumulating enough touch panels for another run takes a while.

@ModernBawhair: Ah, I understand. Thanks. I have very little experience with iStuff.

@tech42er: I was quoting a website, actually. You're right though, the actual cost was around $2200, but I figured anybody springing for a MBP can go above the base model.

@ModernBawhair: He says sarcastically, looking at the picture of the tethered iPhone and realizing that the phone is necessarily turned off while the operating system is being overwritten.

So, what exactly are non-3GS iPod Touches/iPhones getting out of the switch to iOS4?

I don't see an "18+" only disclaimer...

@Zonky: Whoops, you're right. I read the title and assumed it was "best gadgets," without paying enough attention to the subtitle to realize it was "favorite gadgets." I've edited my comment to reflect this.

Not to be an iHater, but I'd really like to see the justification behind the MBP as the best 15" laptop.

This is pretty cool, actually. For all those complaining: yes, there are countless options for backup batteries, the point of this is that it is very small and cordless (plugs directly in, no extra cord in between to consume space), although the size probably renders it less potent than other, larger, options.

My computer, even though I sleep it at night, is like a space heater in my room, which is already the warmest area of the house. It's usually ten, sometimes even twenty degrees warmer than anywhere else. As I prefer to sleep in cool places, this can get annoying.

@o0RaidR0o: Again, less the forward facing camera and WiMax, I'm curious as to how the Droid X is "watered down," please enlighten me.

As I'm on Verizon, with a contract that's eligible for upgrade soon, I'm looking forward to the X, a real competitor to the Evo.

@Korrupt: I never even requested an invite, I'm almost positive it went open a while ago.

Wasn't this like a month ago...?

There have been so many dual screen laptop concepts. The kind where the keyboard is replaced with a second screen. I've never actually see one go into production. Hurry it up, will you! I want one!

@Chernobyl: Interesting, I read an arcticle about that once, it was ice.

@Chernobyl: You must think you're so cool.
