He was there the whole time!

The thing is though, they are hugely protective of Freddie - you can see it in any interview with Taylor, all these years later it hurts him to talk about it, so I can understand them wanting a more “sanitised” version of history, but I don’t for a second think they were every going to hide the way he died or lived,

They also took money over art and integrity every opportunity it was presented.

I get why some bands have multiple lead singers Fleetwood Mac is a good example of it. Each one of the singers adds something different vocally to the band. But if your lead singer is great and has so much range why have other people do lead vocals.

I remember, Somebody to Love was a huge hit in the UK off the back of that.

I think my favorite Queen songs have to be Radio Ga Ga and One Vision. But then I think of The Miracle, A Kind of Magic, so many others and I just can’t choose.

Innuendo and One Vision, YES. Best of the best.

Yeah, goddamn, but Hammer to Fall is a great song to blast in the car.

Best deep cut Queen? it’s gotta be “Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy”!!!

I saw the show last Tuesday, good stuff. That Brian May solo though. I had time to get a t-shirt with a leisurely stroll down and up a long staircase, go back to our seats, then out and back again for a round before it finished.

Slept-on Queen tracks:

‘39 is in my top five Queen songs. Just beautiful.

For some years, I have wanted to go back to 1984 with a screenplay adapting the end-of-the-world novel “Lucifer’s Hammer” to a feature length movie.

my Queen psych-up song is Hammer to Fall. Blazing riff work from May, and lyrics to get you up and going. Don’t hear the bell, but you answer the call. Get out there!

“What are your super powers?”

Queen is the only band I listened to in my pre-teens that continues to have a *big* impact on my listening.

I love Queen.  “Save Me” is heartbreaking.

So this is a dumb game but whenever we hear “Can’t Stop Me Now” my wife and I end up hollaring “LIKE LADY GODIVA” at random times the rest of the day.

Now playing

When CDs came out this was one of the first I purchased:
