Based on the velocity of CBS announcing Trek shows, within 8 weeks?

The show has basically been a rollercoaster of plot twists and weirdness and craziness.  It’s been one of the most fun things on TV for the last few years.

Maya’s always been bi, she mentioned it in the meeting Darryl called to introduce her to the company/come out.

TNG was so hated, fan backlash against it was cited as a reason for Star Trek V’s box office failure.

The “coming up” trailer wasn’t included in the Netflix version, for some reason

For people outside the US and Canada, the Short Treks have shown up on Netflix  now.  Go into the section for Discovery, then click on Trailers and more, and scroll to the end.

Pike seemed to run through the angel thing. Given it’s in the opening credits too, it’s presumably going to be important.

DISCO is in the prime timeline, and Old Man Picard is going to be set after the destruction of Romulus and is at least going to mention Spock’s disappearance. So they’re at least acknowledging the Prime timeline events that lead to Kelvin branching off.

It might not even be about the backlash. Because the Sandy Hook family lawsuit is going ahead, a lot of media companies are apparently worried about being found culpable. There’s a good chance Roku’s lawyers stepped in and told them to get rid of him.

I was trying to figure out if that was a joke about them trying to sound cultured and getting the pronunciation wrong or not.

She needs to walk into an MCU planning meeting, fire the first two people to ask a question, draw a penis on the whiteboard and then announce the un-cancellation of the Netflix shows

Yeah, I assumed she was because otherwise they went to a huge level of detail on her eye makeup.

I’ve enjoyed the series so far, but this was the first episode so far this year where I was constantly laughing out loud.

This news is only shocking to people not watching the show.

I thought AJ was a woman in his first episode as well, but looked the actor up online and figured it out at that point.  I think there was a reference to him being a man last week as well.
