I forgot to add Halt and Catch Fire’s “Ten of Swords.” I would definitely add that to the Top 5.

Yes, yes you do. Especially if you like Person of Interest. And Amy Acker.

Thinking more on it, it’s a fine finale. But it’s odd how the show relied so much more on its characters at the end of the day instead of its moral/philosophical side, when, to me at least, its characters were ultimately very thin. The philosophy stuff was what drew me to the show, but ultimately, I didn’t feel like

“Any episode of season 3 or 4 is better than most of what’s on TV.”

It wasn’t an all-time great ending. We had to wait for BoJack Horseman to deliver that. My goodness....what an ending.

Thinking more about it, David Sims summed it up pretty well on Twitter the other day:

Ha, absolutely.

Yeah, all the energy and wit seemed like it dried up after the Season 2 finale. Seasons 3 and 4 aren’t bad, but the reason I’m so harsh on them is because I know what the show is capable of.

Dexter Season 8: Ω

Still the best final scene (of a tv show) of all time..... “Let’s go to work.

You left out my top two episodes! (Dance Dance Resolution and Rhonda, Diana, Jake, and Trent). I guess I liked the final two seasons a lot less than you.

1. Family Meeting

As for how The Good Place stacks up overall, I think it’s first two years were great, and its final two significantly weaker, even considering this excellent finale. In particular, almost the entire final season felt pretty inessential. I just did season rankings and favorite episodes for Arrow, and I’m in the mood,

I was, for some reason, worried that this show would end with an unearned happy ending. Well, Schur showed me.

Marc Evan Jackson’s deadpan might be my MVP of the whole damn series....It rivals Andre Braugher’s deadpan.

You definitely would have given Halt and Catch Fire some A+s over the years, as well. Too bad the AV Club hates the score A+.

This ending had a lot in common with Parks and Recreation’s One Last Ride, in that it forms an epilogue to the series rather than a climax. It worked much better than One Last Ride though, which fell victim to late-era Parks and Recreation sappiness. I am very glad this ending was more bittersweet. Michael’s ending

Sure, The Flash is above average in that it’s better than Hell’s Kitchen or something. But it could be so much better than what it has been. To put it lightly, I was not as impressed with Savitar or the Thinker as you. And I think you’ll find that Season 5's villain is the worst one yet.

I would have liked Season 5 even more had they done the same things with Oliver and Prometheus, but with Diggle, Thea, and Felicity instead of the recruits.

It is very strange how Section 31 is DS9's most lasting contribution to the franchise, it seems.
