Heh. I suppose so!

My point was that they were a part of German high society, an accurate point. I was not validating them in any way.

Certainly not!

We actually agreed on your main point, so I never said the first one. Of course, misrepresenting arguments and presenting yourself as a victim is your MO.

Debating this person will get you nowhere. They immediately jump to personal attacks. I learned that first hand. I sincerely hope I never have the misfortune to come across them again on this site.

Mate, calm down. I ultimately agreed with your conclusions. You were taking Nazis down a peg, and I was all for that. I was merely pointing out that your characterization of them was inaccurate to a degree.

Not really. Many episodes of Supernatural written by women were criticized by Eric Thurm and Zack Handlen for gender problems.

They lost because they were fighting the entire rest of the world with limited resources. Do you know anything about military history?

They certainly were not a joke. They outmaneuvered France militarily through the Ardennes, and did what Germany failed to do in WW1 in a few weeks. They also carried out genocide with clockwork precision, and used engineers to level Warsaw brick-by-brick. I wouldn’t describe the SS as incompetent buffoons, and would

Let’s be honest: Louis Malle’s Au Revoir Les Enfants is the best Holocaust movie ever made, and nothing will top it.

His mother is a Russian Jew, and his father is a Māori.

Good point about plot holes. If a story works it’s easy to forgive. If not, well.....

It does make it frustrating to watch. Some seasons are incredibly slow and filled with padding, while the final two seasons are very sloppy and haphazard.

Game of Thrones didn’t move at that fast a pace though.

I can...kind of see the appeal in the first half of the third season? I strongly disliked it, but I could see it appealing to people who like that sort of thing. Me personally, I’ve never been a big fan of surrealism (It worked in Seasons 1 and 2 though). I like Twin Peaks and The Leftovers, but I’ve never loved them,

Hassun isn’t the worst episode of the show. I’d rather watch it than Oeuf or pretty much any third season episode.

Yeah, Season 3 guts a lot of Mizumono’s impact. It is still one of the best season finales ever. Seasons 1 and 2 are about even for me. They’re both so much better than Season 3. I remember Season 1 having a bit of a slow start, though, so I’d pick 2.

Hannibal should have ended with “Mizumono.” The first two seasons were fantastic with or without the source material-artful, gripping television that stood proudly on its own. The third season was unnecessary and just a disappointing mess overall.

Also, Better Call Saul. We know how it ends, but many regard it as a great television show.

Fair criticism, but it really gets going by the end. I thought this episode was really good-very charming and fun, with a whopper of an ending.
