The show in general has gotten a little too over-the-top. They need to tone down Boyle and Jake, and return Holt to the hardass he was in Seasons 1 and 2.

"A Study in Pink" and "A Scandal in Belgravia" both got a B+ somehow. The site's grades are all out of whack. I would grade them like this:
"A Study in Pink"-A
"The Blind Banker"-B
"The Great Game"-A
"A Scandal in Belgravia"-A
"The Hounds of Baskerville"-C+
"The Reichenbach Fall"-A
"The Empty Hearse"-B-
"The Sign of Three"-B+

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I never thought I'd say this after how boring Season 3 was, but the episode needed more League of Assassin stuff.

It might have been even better if they had had more time though. The Nyssa-Talia battle should have been half an hour at least!

Ho-lee crap! There were SO many awesome moments in tonight's episode, it's hard to even list them all. THE best episode in Arrow's history.

Destroying the continuity of "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" isn't that big a deal.

"Serviceable setup"? Hell no, that was a fantastic episode, one of the best of the season imo. Serious chills at the end. The entire last 15 minutes…..that was AWESOME.

"Last Christmas" is fantastic. Easily the best Christmas special of all time.

12 years ago……………..and "The End of the World" still probably has less of a budget than most American television.

I hate both of these episodes with a burning passion-both F's in my book. Nothing about them works in any way. "Love and Monster" is a 'lower deck' episode that tries to recapture the pathos and heart of "Lower Decks", and the wit and humor of "The Zeppo". It spectacularly fails on both counts. It's more disgusting

Britain hasn't been a world economic superpower for many decades, and the British government has never given the BBC that much money, not even for a worldwide phenomena like Doctor Who. That being said, the last few series have done a great job with a limited budget. They've managed to turn weaknesses into strengths,

Can't argue with that :). At least it's not "In the Forest of the Night/Shite" either. The weakest two stories both had lots of forests. That's weird.

I think it's one of the weaker stories of Series 8. Then again, I'm one of the few people who really liked Series 8, so ymmv on that one.

On first viewing, I was disoriented and confused. On second viewing, once I knew what the story was aiming for, I enjoyed this episode even more than "Thin Ice". The Walking Dead, in space, only fantastic. Mathieson's writing is guaranteed to be high quality at this point. I do agree with your criticism about the

So, the main villain is one of the good parts of the season? I'll take it.

Then again, this is a heightened reality. It's not too surprising that Chase has planned for everything, He did graduate the Class of Talia Al Gul, 2015, presumably with full marks. Anyway, very good episode. The show is in fine form for the finale.

Holt!

I guess, but this season's more of a 'meh' than it is bad. It's a show that needs to be fun, yet instead is overly concerned with melodramatic nonsense, mainly because of how corny and on-the-nose it is. I mean, jeez, the producer's must think they're making the next Sopranos or something. Screw that! No, The Flash

Or Next Gen, which is technically a spinoff. Or Angel, The Colbert Report, Legend of Korra, Daria, Frasier, Better Call Saul, Torchwood, or The Simpsons.
