I can’t believe what a bunch of nerds we are. We’re looking up “money laundering” on Lifehacker.

Besides the backward ridiculously-puritanical thinking that was putting some construct about virginity over their kid getting cancer...this also doesn’t make sense just because I doubt ANY 9-year old knows what type of vaccines they’re getting.

I’d rather have my child be alive and slutty* than cancer-ridden and dead. Crazy shit, I know.

This line of thinking drives me up the wall. I was a nurse for ten years in locked psych. We had patients that were violent. Yet, in my old profession, we did not raise a hand to them. We de-escalated, we redirected, we disarmed. All without a weapon or military grade armor. Just me, my NACs and nurses, all in scrubs.

Look for recommendations at a voters’ advocate group for your area... Pick a group that leans in your general direction, and see who they endorse. Better yet, pick several, and comparison shop. (League of Women Voters, SF League of Pissed Off Voters, etc.)

This is so awful. It is also the reason why I will never disclose my own sexual assault to my own mother. Her reaction to the whole Kavanaugh debacle is to feel more afraid for her son than for her three daughters.
