Reminder that when stuff like this says the products they’re dumping on you are “worth” x amount of money, they’re lying. If this stuff ended up in the garbage pile because no one wanted to spend $55 on it, it’s not worth $55. By definition!

I honestly am having trouble believing that pretending to execute the teachers is an accepted part of this drill. I am having trouble believing, also, that no one in this comments section besides us has seen fit to call this insanity and degradation out.

I’m Jewish. We don’t believe in trying to “earn points” to get to Heaven, because we should act like good people on Earth just because it’s what God wants us to do and we need to repair the world.  As such, I try not to judge people or wish ill will on them.

Or it could be a perfect opportunity to gaze into the rotten core of our soul as a nation and do something meaningful about gun control instead of just accepting that we need dystopian drills like this in the first place.

Another key difference is that the New Zealand gun lobby has also come out in favour of banning them, openly stating that there’s no need for assault weapons to be legal while other rifles still regulated will be adequate for hunting needs.

Unknowing or not, they should not benefit from their parents’ fraud. They’re still taking a spot from a student who actually earned it. If your parents steal a car and gift it to you, you don’t get to keep it when the theft is discovered.
