Why am I signing into an account on my car? My phone is signed in. I don’t want to sign in on my car too. I’m also not installing whatever crappy car app they need me to install on my phone to make it work. I’m especially not signing in on a rental car or anything else - and I’m not switching between my logins and my

And everyone is an idiot.  I do not - the one TV in the house that even has internet access is locked down on a separate VLAN with limited DNS scopes to avoid sending information or ads, and only opened if I need a firmware update.  I use devices I trust to stream media.  I don’t like being spied on, fed ads, and as a

Which is a stupid idea.  I don’t need a phone on 4 wheels - I have a phone.  And if you’re trusting your smart TV to run apps natively, you’re already making poor choices.

The car will run the apps natively if you pay for them, and won’t know anything that your phone does. Why the fuck do I want to set up my car with accounts/etc when my phone already has them? Why should I trust that a car manufacturer, not exactly the paragon of information security, should be trusted with any of

Oh agreed.  But I scratched the Type-R, GR Corolla, etc off of my list years ago - they don’t actually exist, as far as I’m concerned.  I did the 6 month dance of “find a dealer that will order a limited-run car at MSRP” years ago for my ZL1, and once is enough ~forever~.  With this pricing on the Type-S, I’m slotting

You’re not going to order one for MSRP either.  Used will take a few years, sadly, if the Type-R and similar markets shows anything right now...

If you can FIND one that is.  The GR or the Civic R

Everyone else managed to figure that out.  It’s 2023 - solve it!

Same.  Husqvarna with the Honda engine.

And all of that requires (often) significant amounts of water and/or care too. I’ve got a garden - it takes more water than the lawn, and more effort weeding/caring for/maintaining too :(

They’re universally garbage. I’ve had / worked with two small honda motors - pull and start, worst case was two pulls, every time. I’ve had 5 Briggs and Shitty engines - none of them were usable at the beginning of the year, no matter what you did to prep them the fall prior. Horrible engines, and I seriously pray

Yeah, but those idiots only put it in longitudinal applications, which means jeep as a whole got screwed outside of the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer lines.

This.  I never thought a transmission would be a reason to buy/not buy a car, but having driven the Chrysler 9 speed after my ZF8 - I actually suddenly care.  And no, I didn’t have any particular faith in the GM/Ford 10 speed any more than I did the Mopar 9

You’ll want to finish again post-DLC (it changes the ending).  But yeah - it’s all about “don’t do ANYTHING” till you’re past.  That’s the scare.

Don’t move once you’re through the first ball.  Let momentum carry you past.  That’s all you need - you can turn, so turn around backwards and wait till they’re out of sight.

And the ones that do, will monetize it.

Hey, they did one really good thing with all that - now I don’t have to look at any GM vehicles when buying my next car!  A whole family of brands eliminated in one moment!

Instead of a pusher or rocket seperation, they’re trying to do a “fling” - it’s supposed to START rotating attached, and then... pop off.

Yeah, that confuses the HELL out of me.

Sees update.  Takes JL back off the list.
