I’m considering one too, especially since it looks like my massive driving commutes may not hold over once COVID is done. I like Hyundai, and that looks like a hoot to drive.
About my experience, at 6'1 and 235 (need to get the suits retailored though; lost most of the bit of fat I had). Those recaros are miserable. Broad shoulders, no fit.
I have a ZL1, so I’m intimately familiar with the platform, PTM, and the MR shocks, thank you. I’ve owned more GM cars in the past than any other brand, and I can safely say that the ZL1 will likely be the last one I ever own in the future.
And I’d actually be ok with a crossover; I’ve got fun cars, after all, and given how much I drive, it’d still save me a ton. I’d love an electric powertrain in my 5-series, but the only thing that hits my needs (I’m an edge case) is the loaded Model S, and that’s more than I want to spend. I suspect neither the ID.4…
Regardless of how you feel about the Model 3, this is the truth. There’s nothing there.
Disagree on the Mazda side (I expect toyota to snatch them up, sadly).
Worse interior, lousy dealer network and service, no aftermarket, all for approximately the same price as an M3 or loaded M2. That’s how it was overpriced - at 64+k, might as well get the German for the extra 1k. Or save some cash and get a lighter-optioned M2. CTS had the same problem - by the time you got up to the…
I’ve tried to like Cadillac. I really have. I respected the first and second generation CTS-V - good cars, just not for me at the time, and they’re really just toys. I looked at the ATS when it came out; overpriced, lousy option mixes, mediocre interior. Just, nah. Lousy engine options too. ATS-V? Neat toy, but 20k…
I guess his insurer will be ... seeing red?
Porsche figured out which gods to sacrifice to for that transmission.
Because people in Puerto Rico buy different cars than people on the mainland. Different economics, different priorities - just like Hawaii and Alaska tend to have some differences.
Paying for a Yaris and getting a Mazda sounds like a great deal to me.
None of those cars sell in any kind of worthwhile numbers, so no, they shouldn’t - or they couldn’t actually bring out the fun cars we all want, because they’d be losing money on subcompacts that no one buys new or wants.
What I was going to say. I’ve got mad respect for the 3800 Series motors - Reliable, simple, torquey, and decent punch when you want it. Even sound pretty solid. One of the best motors GM ever made.
I’ve seen this list, but I didn’t even think about it at the time (I do a LOT of car buying).
And who in the world is buying them in the first place? By the time I get it specced the way we want, we’re close to $45k. I can think of a LOT of cars at that price range I’d rather have.
Mine did this for two years before I sold it.
There’s a difference between accepting risk and courting danger; and courting danger, and walking blindly into extreme danger. It’s all shades of gray. Not commenting on McCandless’ particular situation here, but in general.
Damn; thought it was longer - sure seems like it right now.
