Oh, and the thing was a hoot to ride. I miss riding, almost lost too many friends to idiots though.

Almost bought a Ulysses a few times, and have his sticker on my main tool set still. I miss the Pegasus.
Why? Because I could. Because I liked the big-block-esque torque and feel, and didn’t want a superbike (ZX-14 or the like). Because I wanted something more comfortable for long flights, and loved my Harley dealer (before they screwed me). Something about them just worked for me back then.
It’s just the pedals. Granted I’m realizing all mine were rentals, so automatic with the wider brake pedal, but still.
Which is awesome in almost every car. But the fiesta.
I’m thinking of three potholes I’ve named that would be back breaking. And tire breaking.
This has been one of my biggest fears for buying one... roads around here aren’t quite Detroit bad, but are not getting better either...
My feet are too big. I hit the accelerator and the brake at the same time in any of my normal shoes. It was built for tiny Europe-folk, not someone with a 13W.
Yes, but you feel weird and now everyone looks at you strange (turned a Harley into a sports bike)
I look for the turn signals.
Both of you are dead on. It was the true XJ replacement.
I have owned more GM cars than any other, by almost 2x... and I go through cars like most people go through underwear. I love GM. My family has loved GM. I own two right now - a 2013 ZL1 I bought new, and a C5 Corvette.
You honestly think the ATS interior isn’t the equal to the A4/C-Series/etc?
They’re not actually there. Their cars are demonstrably worse than the competitor’s vehicles.
Ford station wagon. The Mazda pickup survived, as did the old truck (Jeep?) that The two drove.
The ATS also feels like a 30k car inside. The M3 doesn’t. In two years the ATS will be worth less than half its new price. The M3 won’t. The M3 has an aftermarket. The ATS-V doesn’t.
Had an SVT for 3 years. Wasn’t all that but it was fun. VTEC was far more fun than the Ford mill. :)
Hah! Amen to that. Of course, that’s what Buick is for... /me glares at the new GS...
Not only CPO, but CPO that was 10k less than a similar year/mile Lexus IS F-Sport or BMW 335xi was what blew me away... They were better cars, sure, but not 10k ~better~. So I bought the Infiniti, and the 10k turned into a C5 Corvette a year and a half later of investment income. Win/Win! I was dumbfounded.
They released the first CTS-V before he came, they’ll release one after he leaves. He helped with that, but it wasn’t just him. :)
