- Ambrose was so electric on Talking Smack it radiated off the screen. They should really have Cena take the title off Styles at the Rumble and do Cena/Ambrose at Wrestlemania. I mean, who the hell wants to see Cena win another Rumble anyway? Because that's how he gets to a Styles rematch.

I took it more as he needs to keep winning, even if it's against the same guy. Which would be ridiculous in a real sport, but looking at the way WWE works, it kinda makes sense. Corbin has a win over Crews, but he's certainly not got the rankings credibility of Ambrose and Cena, so it's not like that should get him a

That'd be acceptable if the many characters on the show didn't neglect to point out that obvious gaping hole in her story. Mick Foley believes her 100%, and while Seth doesn't believe her at all, I don't believe he's ever pointed out how stupid she must think everyone is to believe that she hasn't spoken to her

I'd change out "wrestling fans" with "television audiences", which is the more egregious problem. It'd be one thing for him to constantly alienate wrestling fans if the reason was to make money by connecting with a wider audience. The problem is he has no clue what any viewer wants. He seems completely oblivious to

I believe Raw and Smackdown have different writing teams, though I'm not sure how far that goes. Ex-NXT writer Ryan Ward is the head writer of Smackdown and not Raw, I'm pretty sure. And it shows.

Well Rollins really only has two high profile clean losses to speak of since coming back—one to Balor, and one to Ambrose on the Smackdown before the Draft. Reigns took the pin in the triple threat, and he was screwed in the fatal four-way. While multiple failed title opportunities does reflect poorly on him, let's

"Please for the love of god trade us to Smackdown." - literally every single person on the Raw roster except Nia Jax, Braun Strowman, and Bo Dallas (and even then, probably Nia Jax and Bo Dallas too).

Reigns and Rollins were both screwed out of the Universal title—it would have been much more logical to have Rollins and Reigns fight for the number one contendership than Rollins getting it automatically and Reigns fighting Owens for it.

Everything about the way they introduced the Cruiserweight Division was a goddamn nightmare. Foley cutting that awful promo pointing out how they're small but have a lot of heart, introducing four new guys all in one match, throwing them on in the third hour. It was so Vince McMahon it made my head hurt. Can you

The Shield and Justified as the already great ones, and VP as the other?

I don't think they're going to play coy about it. I think we'll learn in non-dramatic fashion pretty early in the season that it was Russell, and a lot of the drama (and comedy) will be in him trying to keep Gamby from finding out until he can finish the job.

That would be quite the direction. As it stands I feel like we're all to assume he survives because the show is named "Vice Principals" and even without that killing off the main character would be a pretty goddamn crazy move.

Miss Abbott's actually an interesting theory and the second most likely one I've seen, but I still think it's Russell behind it. Abbott just doesn't seem central enough to the show's conflict to be such a focal point here. I imagine she's more likely to be what ruins his relationship with Snodgrass in season two.

Damn, good catch. And it was Gamby's student driver vehicle that was parked in front of Brown's house on the day it was burned down (though if anybody saw it someone surely would've come forward by now). There's also that Gamby's a giant asshole to almost everybody and while we know him as a snake in the grass,

Let's not forget earlier in the season when Russell suggested that he'd throw a quarter at "any of those degenerates in ISS" to kill his neighbor for him. He said he was joking, but he also said he was joking about dosing a bunch of teenagers with acid.

I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up dead to end the series. Going a big step further than what you'd expect is kind of this show's thing.

That's what I'm thinking. The cars being on fire suggests Belinda, but I seriously doubt she'd have them murdered before simply reporting them to the police for arson and blackmail—and if she did have them murdered, certainly she'd want Russell dead too.

That whole final stretch I was waiting for Gamby and Russell to be relishing their success when they're abruptly arrested for the arson of Brown's house. I kept thinking that had to factor in, how stupidly Russell confessed to that. And then… they went in a much different direction.

That's a glass-half-full perspective if I've ever heard one.

Right? I was feeling optimistic after a lot of pleasant surprises tonight, but I thought if anything writing would be the safest bet. Now I'm back to being cynical.
