I TOOK A PEE AND IT CAME OUT RED
I TOOK A DUMP AND IT CAME OUT DEEEEAAAAAADD

It's very dependent on the artist—many I'll pre-order from the artist's website (and in this case, pre-orders for NIN went out two days early), bandcamp, or on Amazon. Everyone else i check out on Spotify, sometimes release day, sometimes I'll get to it when I get to it.

Add Violence is my favorite thing I've heard from NIN in at least a decade. It's bold, weird, ambitious, envelope-pushing, meant to surprise and unnerve, properly enjoyed with good headphones. The only exception is "Less Than", which is very fun, but pretty blatantly reuses the "Nine Inch Nails radio single" template

The percussion, synths, and overall production are really wonderful, but the lyrics and vocal melodies do feel pretty been-there-done-that for this band. I get the impression a lot more work goes into the former elements than the latter, but he's shown the capacity to write great lyrics in the past, and it'd be great

Oh. Well, my bad! Sort of. Not really. Somebody's else's bad.

? She's nowhere to be seen on the list in the article.

She's great in Fargo, but it also isn't close to Nora Durst. But a well-earned nomination nonetheless.

My list of most egregious snubs (many of which never had a shot, but still salty)

Oh yeah I'd have it over Atlanta myself, but I totally understand an opposing viewpoint. I don't think I'd even be willing to argue with someone who thought fuckin' Modern Family was better.

Better Call Saul is an ongoing series with the characters and story carrying over year-to-year, where Fargo is an anthology with all-new characters, settings, etcetera every year.

Even Thomas Middleditch didn't get anything for Silicon Valley for I believe the first year since it started, which is really weird because I thought this season was far and away his best work on the show.

I accepted a while ago that it's never getting any Emmy attention ever, but it is pretty frustrating how little discussion of it online there is when Emmy season comes around. A show like The Americans at least had a decent amount of online uproar over being omitted, You're the Worst doesn't even get that. It's really

If any sizable numbers of Emmy voters even watched Legion, most of them probably didn't make it very far. It was way too ambitious to get awards attention, even if in reality it should probably clean up all the technical categories and supporting actress for Plaza. And hell, with those nominees, Dan Stevens should

Really like Superbad, but co-sign on this. It always seemed strange to me how little people talked about what a jackass Jonah Hill's character was in that movie. Totally realistic in writing and performance, but the ending was far too kind to him.

Happy to see Silver Linings Playbook called out here. I don't think a movie has ever nosedived from being absolutely riveting (Bradley Cooper's wedding tape meltdown) to cliched mediocrity (pretty much everything after Lawrence's character becomes a major part of the story) so impressively. I've actually made a point

It was a terrific sequence, but I'd submit a few scenes from The Americans, the entirety of "Certified" from The Leftovers, and the "Bolero" sequence from Hawley's own Legion as being better.

With the unbearable shoehorning of "timeliness" into virtually any show with a rich racist character or apocalyptic themes being such a prominent thing in TV reviews lately, it's really strange the very overt not subtle themes this season aren't getting much attention called to them. It's the best thing about the

Moe is such an unrelentingly horrible character that it's actually bought my patience a lot more than if he was only regular bad. He's so awful that I feel there just has to be some sort of explanation or subversion at some point, there has to be a point. If he was just bad, I'd think it was sloppy writing and move

Dodd didn't make it past episode eight—I'm not sure what the criteria for "main cast" is here, but I'm pretty sure he had the most screentime of anyone in the Gehrhardt clan.

I'm enjoying it, but absolutely. Season two was near perfect, this is very good in many ways and above all else interesting, but it's not near perfect.
