SIR back in the day, was amazing. I loved Winter Nationals.

Years back my grandparents had a place in the Covington area, more or less, and when we weren’t attending the Nationals in person, we would enjoy listening from their back patio, hearing the roars through the PNW hills and trees.

That is awesome. I was at a work event at a golf course several years ago some distance from Pacific Raceways, (which will always be SIR to me..) A bunch of our clients were wondering what that “horrendous noise” was. That would be NHRA Winter Nationals qualifying. :)

I understand that 100%. The on track product has really been lacking IMO. I am hoping that the down force reduction package coming next year really helps the RACING. NASCAR made these cars so easy to drive that they had to create drama to make up for the lack of good racing.
