Well McConaughey is playing a talking bug and Theron a talking monkey soooo free pass on them. But other than that, there have been complaints about the lack of Japanese American cast members. This movie was a decade in the making though, so the studio probably just didn't think about it at the time.

To be fair McConaughey and Theron are voicing talking animals, not Japanese people. I can't make excuses for the rest though.
