It's funny watching him do the press for this movie now because his voice has really dropped since recording and it doesn't even sound like him at all anymore! Plus, you know, Irish.

It's good to be scared as a kid sometimes! Some of my fav memories as a kid are being scared shitless by Who Framed Roger Rabbit!
I always find that "the new" anything/anyone comparison ridiculous. It seems to imply there only a limited amount of space for things or people with only the most vague similarities to begin with. Pixar is Pixar, Laika is Laika. Aside from both being pretty creative storytellers they're nothing alike. A more apt…
These movies are clearly labours of love and, while they don't make their very deserved multi-multi-millions, they do just fine. Their studio is tiny, their staff small, and their costs low. They're here because they want to be, not because they're trying to grow a huge stop motion corporation.
I wasn't a huge fan of Boxtrolls but I was in love with Elle Fanning's voice work on that.
This is easily one of my most anticipated movies this year. I didn't want to get my hopes up early, but based on those gorgeous trailers alone I had hoped we'd be in for a treat. The scope of the thing amazed me in just those few short minutes and the shamisen cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps could not have been…
Yes exactly. She's at just the right amount of relevance to be a good cast from their point of view, but not famous enough to have a high fee. They'll doubtless lock her into a ridiculously long contract and that will probably leave no room for her to negotiate a higher fee later on. Marvel knows exactly what they're…
It definitely takes the edge off. There are many legitimately good reasons to be happy Gawker is gone, but one of the few genuinely right things they stood up for is not one of them.
Huffington Post Women, Reductress, The Toast (while it was still up), Everyday Feminism. Those are actual feminist sites. When you compare their tone with a site like Jezebel it's like comparing a gentle meadow in summer with an eternally burning tire fire.
Jezebel want to have their cake and eat it. They want to be shared around as a legitimate feminist site, but they want to continue writing mean, intrusive, and harmful gossip garbage at the same time. Then when they get called out on it, they point to their official description of "woman's gossip magazine".
One of their latest posts was basically praising a black woman gymnast for the amount of abuse they perceived she could take at the Olympics. Which did not go down well, as it shouldn't.
I would say that site is white feminist, but it's more like just plain ol' white.
I've not been a frequenter of Kotaku, but it's always seemed like a pretty fun and informative site to me. I liked that they didn't shy away from the topics in gaming that crossed over with social justice, but I'm sure that won them a few enemies in that particular community…
Probably why I was seeing so many gamergate…
I was hoping to see Jezebel gone out of all of them honestly. They have written some seriously disgusting stuff over the years and, confusingly, they seem to absolutely hate famous women. Like I don't think I've seen that level of viciousness against famous women even from TMZ or Perez Hilton.
500 Days of Kristen?
Dare I ask what happened at Jezebel?
I couldn't agree more. They were spiteful and hypocritical in the extreme, and even after chewing up and spitting out good and kind people for the sake of cheap gossip clicks, as well as publishing all manner of unethical or inaccurate bullshit, they still fancied themselves the good guys. They are not the good guys,…
I'm curious about why you think it necessary? Genuinely. What do you feel we'll be missing with Gawker gone in particular?
When I heard this news I had the image of Regina George getting hit by the bus at the end of Mean Girls run through my head. Beautiful.
Ironically, one of the only ones who still seems to be having the bestest of times! Highkey.
Pretty much all the SS promo images are painful to look at now, but that one of Joker and the similar one of Harley Quinn especially. I never want to see the cavernous expanses of either of their mouths again.
