I dont get it. Drive the speed limit and you dont have to worry about it. Why people drive the speed limit and STILL hit the brakes when they see a cop i will never understand

bullet proof, yes, easy to work on, hell no! A corolla is not easy to work on by any means. Every aspect of the crown vic was meant to be removed and replaced because on very high mileage fleet vehicles, even a transmission rebuild is routine maintenance. There arent many other cars where brake pads are less than $10…
Why do people freak out?
“its a Sport”
because sport means blacked out trim and no meaningful performance changes.
I think you mean Starbucks in one hand and phone in the other ...
Yup, and parts are cheap and abundant. You can also take them off roading!
Also fuck explorers! Especially the idiots that buy the blacked out version, I always get pissed when one is behind me and I slow down just to have them pass me, and it is a soccer mom with a Starbucks in hand.
These cars are reliable, (metaphorically) bullet proof, comfortable, easy to work on, tons of parts available on the cheap, they go fast, and while they may not handle like a go kart, they do handle well and are virtually impossible to roll over.
From what I gather the appeal is that parts are cheap and abundant, they’re easy to service, they’re decently reliable, and they last through a beating. I’ve known several people who had these as their daily drivers early in their automotive endeavors and learned to wrench on them.
The allure is it is a lot of car for the money that will run damn near forever if you take care of it.
Good price, dash not torn up, holes filled (at least with gromets). NP for this thing. Having the interior updated to luxury levels is not a huge deal either. Bone yard salvage or one of the many companies that offer kits and you have a nice long haul cruiser.
Dream car
Yes, as evidenced by the flashing STOP STOP STOP STOP .......
I’ll bet she gives good headrest!
It’s not an argument against automated washes.
It’s an argument against giving idiots driving licenses.
I don’t understand anything that’s happening in that video. Wasn’t that one of those car washes where you stop in one place and the brushes move back and forth to clean the car?
Not from a reliability standpoint, as far as I understand. Just from a, “I hate the way this transmission functions” standpoint.
Mine has never left me stranded. At that age / mileage, everything needs stuff refreshed / replaced.
I think they fixed those problems for the most part, that’s what you get when you go with a fancy German 9 speed!
