Obviously the most important question:
Would you mind backing into a bollard so we can see what it’ll look like with the signature Camry dent? Both sides please, for symmetry’s sake. Potential owners should know what they’ll look like in use. Also it might improve the look of those dumb clown tear vents that are metastasizing across model lines.
“red seats” and “camry” are two terms that are in fundamental opposition.
Oh the things I could buy with $40,000 that aren’t a Camry.
Owner can do a lot more damage now instead of the typical Camry dent
Can you make the engine overpower the front tires or are the electronic nannies too intelligent for hooning?
Blur out the face on that thing and I might actually want to.
The Avenger wasn’t too hard on the eyes once it got some proper love:
There is where you are wrong. I ONLY want cars. and all but 2 cars in my whole life have been Ford. Reducing my options to ONLY Mustang, even though I am a Mustang fan greatly increases my chances of spending my money elsewhere. A truck or SUV is not even a considerable option to me.
People I know that love the Fiesta,…
All true. The point is, Ford is going to stop building (and selling) cars in the US and Canada. Only the Mustang will continue to be available here. The jury is still out on the Lincoln Continental and MKZ, although I suspect they will be axed as well. Also, the GT will go away.
It is still so hard for me to wrap my head around a company making good solid money, but a bunch of people that monitor the market think it should make more money, so that company is considered a “junk” option. To paraphrase a line from the Gladiator, “the mob is fickle brother”.
I really don’t get the Ford hate. Is a Fusion really that much worse than a Camry or Altima? Who can say with a straight face that the Focus is much worse than the Corolla? Yes they had the Powershift issue but sales have only recently began to tank.
“My name is Bond... Junk Bond.”
Baffles me how Ford is considered so close to junk status.
When Ford announced they were gonna stop making cars, it didn’t bode well for confidence.
Are you implying their shift away from cars earlier this year wasn’t a wise one? Because I agree.
“Hooray, we can pay the power bill for the next 20 minutes!”
3rd Gear:
Ford does kind of feel like they are floundering about lately, trying to be a “mobility” company rather than a car manufacturer. Yeah, the tech side is the future, but when you visibly start abandoning your core business, the credit police are going to give you the side eye.
