My career has netted me an almost paid off house, 4 paid off vehicles, and plenty of freedom/time with my family while enabling me to support them and our hobbies without issue.
Considering they’re bitching about they’re pay and I’m not, I wouldn’t assume they have it better than me.
Most of these UAW workers are averaging $90k/yr or more and have better healthcare than a good portion of the US, sorry if I don’t sympathize.
If they were holding up traffic the street was no longer busy where they were planning to race........
Personally, I wouldn’t want to wish a driving under the influence charge on a stranger, as it can have serious consequences beyond just a fine, a license suspension and losing the ability to go to Canada.
These are also people who are used to the cramped cabins of modern cars. The TourX is tighter inside than my 90s small midsize sedan.
I’m 5'6" 150 lbs, my knees were hitting the driver’s seat with my 5'6" wife driving. That is exactly the opposite of “a ton of room”.
People driving without insurance and with suspended licenses generally aren’t driving something new enough to have these features.
We would own a TourX.
Great looking cars.
Now, how many of those crashes are caused by them, how many are caused by the moron relying on their auto-braking/lane-assist/etc......
Keeping my older vehicles on the road instead of buying something new.
This!
The poors aren’t buying new vehicles anyway, they’re already paying more attention.
Why should you pay the same amount for less?
Most 2wd CUVs cap out at 3500lbs or less.
States could also just use the money they do get for its intended purpose instead of just blowing it elsewhere.......
This is a double edged sword that will push lower income people into an even worse place.
You don’t think gearing and the Edge’s extra 500 lbs have anything to do with that do you?
