Can’t even use it for that.

From what I saw while I was in there, it’s just normal business for them, and given the other people in there, they’re used to selling to people who don’t actually care about vehicles, so they will likely report a great experience.

Not sure I’d be bragging about a 10 year newer vehicle with a smaller engine tying your old car’s economy.

This was the Madison WI Carmax.

They can’t even get mileage right sometimes, so it’s not even useful for that.

Body repairs are one thing, cutting out the complete passenger side structure then doing such a shoddy job putting the new structure in that the tape lines can still be seen, different story.

Stay away from those cars, they generally tend to have catastrophic failures once they start getting used regularly.

See our Carmax experience was completely the opposite. We were looking at Transit Connect minivans, around 20k miles.

most car model/trim/color/option combinations aren’t, and I can pretty easily go to another nearby dealership to get an identical car if the first dealer isn’t good enough on price.

Any properly-maintained car will easily last 10-15 years or more.

This is a very big point most people overlook. I’ve looked at too many “clean” Carfax cars with obvious structural repairs to even bother with one.

The majority of CUVs do NOT achieve 30 mpg in real world driving, just look at fuelly if you need proof.

Says the man who’s only real life MPG experience is with old k-car based minivans.

No, their current SUV’s are all car based and are only marginally less efficient than what we define as “cars”.

The EPA/CARB are great at exaggerating, they exaggerated diesel emissions by 300% in 2010 so they could start enforcing “new standards” without approval.

Would these be the same NOX and particulates that modern GDI engines are producing?

I don’t put a lot of stake in this:

10s to 100s of .00001 ppm is still next to nothing.

You mean the same NOX and particulates that modern GDI engines produce, many on par with heavy duty diesels?

I’m sorry I called you out on trying to judge people for driving a clean vehicle setup for off-roading.
