This is an iffy take at best. If we’re going to start calling manufacturers “liars” and “fibbers” for using terms like sporty and compact, you could probably come up with something to complain about from every single maker.

I think the throw was to try to put some distance and scare it away. If I threw my cat like that, she would be perfectly fine, and probably run away from me. I think the goal was to NOT have to shoot/trap it, he wanted it to be scared of him and run off, but since it was rabid its behavior was unpredictable and it

I think the funniest thing about this ad that a lot of left-leaning people are praising it. It’s basically the exact same message as the Pepsi commerical from a few years ago and the left freaked out about that one.

I like how Jalopnik has devolved within the last 3 or 4 years to articles filled with bs and then us sifting through it in the comments.

I’ve had the same engine swap dream myself haha, but since it’s such an unloved platform there’d certainly be a lot of custom fab work to do it. Maybe if I win the lottery some day.

I think if you can afford to spend $3 million then you probably don’t need the help of a GoFundMe.

I loved the look of those Tiburon coupes myself, that last generation where they stopped doing weird stuff with the headlights. Really it was a beautiful design that I still think looks good. But yeah, both engine options were just terrible and they had very little modding potential. I can’t say I blame you, I

I loved reading the replies to this, really cool to see where the communities are.

That stood out to me as well, there’s a lot of tire changes early on. My guess is they were using a more performance oriented tire and finally the owner switched to something more economical/all-seasons that lasted longer. Most Teslas I’ve seen (my boss has one and loves to share) come with sticky performance tires

This is so NP that if I had a parking space to put it in I’d be calling this guy right now. I’ve always wanted one of these - very similar to the Sierra Cosworth, or at least as close as you could get here in the US.

I was excited to see this post, because I’d like to learn more about it, and then immediately disappointed that it didn’t factory in the production costs of electric cars. Some of the data I’ve seen suggests that building an electric car requires 3-4x the amount of emissions of a similar gasoline vehicle, which means

I went NP. I remember when $16k would buy you one of these in better condition, but not anymore. If you want to own a DMC, this is a pretty damn good deal even weighing in the work that needs to be done. If you want one that doesn’t need as much work, expect to pay double or more this asking price.

I travel a lot for work, so I have a good one. I live in Florida, and I had Hamilton tickets. I flew to Seattle for work and at the last minute was able to move up my flight to a redeye that took off at 12:08am PST and landed sometime around 11am with the show at 7pm.

I too am regularly confused by the new naming conventions, they don’t seem to follow any kind of logic. It worked before - C32 meant 3.2L, and it usually said Kompressor, or “Biturbo,” or something that signified it wasn’t naturally aspirated.

Cp but nothing to do with emissions scandals or anything like that, I just think this admittedly very nice car is overpriced. Maybe I’m not in the know on VW resale values, but a 5 year old economy 5-door should not command barely less than a brand new economy 5-door, diesel and stick aside.

First gear: There’s an obvious reason why these two groups aligned the way they did.

I run adblock most of the time but had it disabled on this site and a few others. No longer - I have it turned on now here as well. Nobody likes intrusive ads - the same reason why we all had pop-up ad blockers back in the day and advertisers started putting their ads elsewhere instead. Once advertisers stop the

“dispensing with old practices that aren’t working in favor of new ones that take some inspiration from tech culture trends”

This just in: Prescription contact lenses now considered a “driver aid” and any race in which they were used results in a disqualification.

I remember when the 308's were going in the upper $20k range all day. Really missed out that I couldn’t afford one then.
