You’ll get a little vertigo seeing how high up you are (or maybe it’s the thin air, take your pick) but the road’s awfully wide and dull and traffic creeps up so slowly it’s like rush hour. Closer to Denver Clear Creek Canyon used to be a lot of fun before it was widened for all the casino traffic, too.

Haha. Oh boy. I was going to use that image as part of a screenshot, but must have screwed something up when copying the link I was meaning to drop in. Still, a great picture.

I have ZERO sympathy for most farmers.

Or if EA made cars, you would have to buy each as a DLC.

I think this is an awesome untapped market.

Has anyone blamed Asia Argento? The thought never crossed my mind and I feel bad for her loss.

But lower taxes, AMIRITE!?

And one more...

Going up next week to visit my folks in Troy (also the same city as David Tracy resides on ) right out side Detroit. I am taking my 2000 Volvo v70r for the trip.

This doesn’t directly address #metoo, but is relevant your mention of his treatment of everyone regardless of fame (and power): the Hanoi episode should have a monument that plays the Obama scene. Watch the entire scene with Obama, but especially from 31:00. It’s looking back at an alternate reality where people still

Yeah, what I didn’t say but feel very deeply is that he would have done so many more good things for #MeToo, and that he won’t have the chance feels so terrible.

It is a volume knob.

Celebrity deaths never really phase me at all, but Bourdain is something else. His voice was one that said what I needed to hear. I’ll miss his interesting, entertaining and important work.

I’m more than a little surprised at how much Anthony’s death is affecting me. I knew I was a huge fan of his, and my wife jokes about my crush on him whenever we watch Parts Unknown, but I’ve been going back to all the news sites, looking for the articles that help me figure out why I’m so sad at my desk.

I was just expressing something similar about Bourdain (except in regards to his gift for appreciating the basic humanity people from all cultures share, and presenting that to his viewing audience - his shows are often a great antidote to dehumanization and othering).
