I owed $18 and sold it for $28. There are a handful of cars out there that manage to hold their value, and this is one of them. My 4Runner is another. Lol

All signs are pointing to bad things happening soon. I sold my ‘16 Golf R and netted a $10k profit in favor of just having my ‘04 4Runner (V8, 3" lift and 33" tires). It’s really the only car I need now that I’m not commuting 60 miles RT every day, and I actually off-road here in Colorado with it.
Does the silence unknown callers still let them go to voicemail? I get an insane amount of robocalls a day and I have tried everything (Hiya, etc.) to cut down. I’d love to try this feature so long as it’ll still send unknown callers to voicemail where I can sift through them instead of having their calls constantly…
Sweet Jesus, that first photo looks so lifelike. I live in Colorado and that seems like a scene straight out of our foothills. Thanks for sharing those, Monday’s productivity is gone now. haha
Sorry I’m not being clearer. Yes, GPS sometimes takes you on ridiculous routes, buuuut it ultimately still gets you there in the end, and allows for you to look at a map to determine your own route.
I agree with that, but I have had countless experiences with the Uber/Lyft drivers picking the most asinine routes and driving just like complete morons too when they’re relying on bad GPS routing. I always think to myself “wait, you drive for a living, how are you struggling this hard to figure out where to go in…
Hardly. Making a very very comfortable salary thanks to it and currently pursuing life-long dreams like getting my private pilot’s license. Thanks for the concern (?) though!
Never again. Cab companies did this to themselves.
I look at it like when I worked retail during college at REI and tried to make a living off of it afterward. As a society, we honestly don’t really need the benefits offered by having full-time long-term employees in areas like retail and cab driving, and companies are recognizing this and moving away from it. This…
Google WAG Bags. Those of us that climb mountains (in responsible ways) have to use them. A climbing partner of mine once accidentally sent a full one careening off a ledge on the Diamond on Long’s Peak. It was disgustingly hilarious.
So, the DCS playing nerd in me is really curious how they target one specific side of the other of a car.
Not a single three stripe Adidas in the mix. This screams more Western Spy than true Slav who squats with heels down.

I sold my Mk7 R a few months back (btw it’s a great time to sell them and still come out ahead, as I netted 10k), but this has me curious about the 2020's. My ownership experience was mixed at best since there were a lot of little gremlins in my particular R, but I think with their newer and longer bumper-to-bumper…
As a student pilot I can see the usefulness since they demonstrated both straight and level flight, steep, and shallow banking turns!
Not always! The VW dealership that I used to take my R to (before I sold it) didn’t know that and I remember reviewing the footage and seeing their jackoff technician saying all sorts of nice things about me and whether or not I knew how to use a fucking window switch correctly. For reference, it’s a known issue with…
I’ve owned two 4Runners (a 97 for 8 years, and an 04 for 2 years) and I have done a lot to them and with them. I recently sold my mk7 Golf R just to go down to the 4Runner again because, honestly, it just works so damn well and the R was constantly at the dealership. Sure they’re apples and oranges and I miss my tuned…
Plus it’s a friggin VEPR! How cool is that? Ugh, I’m a sucker for Russian hardware.
Haberdashery is up there as well, but no...we just call them “lids” nowadays.
Deleted because it’s futile to argue on the internet.
Short guy here, but yeah that is definitely a common complaint among even average height 4Runner owners. For whatever reason they’ve always been a little low slung, but they are Japanese cars after all.
