I would look for local organizations to volunteer for. Particularly if you have skills in one or more languages other than English and experience with the immigration system. I would imagine you could be really valuable to them.

Call them. You can pretend to be a citizen and they can pretend they care enough to do something.

You can volunteer. You can donate $ if you’ve got it, but I think committing your time is a better idea. You are one of us, you belong here and you should use your skills to help us all. Don’t let ignorance and hate stop you. Tune out the ugly.
