Don't know about Ted Nugent, but R. Kelly was never convicted. I don't even think charges were brought. Depending on what you believe, that's pretty messed up still, but as I said in an earlier comment the law is the best system we have, imperfect though it often is.

I tend to go by charges being brought and a conviction being made. It's not perfect because the legal system isn't perfect (see R. Kelly) but it seems to me to be the best system we have.

From what I understand, he was actually convicted, but fled the country right before he was sentenced. So he knew a ton of prison time was coming his way and decided he'd rather not, thanks.

A few days ago I was describing gaslighting and bemoaning the fact that it never appeared on any lists of signs of emotional abuse, making me think that I was crazy and overreacting. I had never heard the word gaslighting before and didn't know it was a thing. So thanks.
