This week completely broke me. The events in Puerto Rico and vegas make me so profoundly sad and depressed.

I’ve always admired Tom Petty* but hadn’t thought I was overly acquainted with his opus. Boy, have these threads proven me wrong: you are absolutely right — so much of his music has formed a tapestry for having been raised in the seventies and eighties.

He’s hoping for a jury of his bros. Hopefully the brosecutor will see right through that cheap cotton.

It’s ironic how much the GOP wants to put multiple army grade weapons in everybody’s hands but doesn’t give a shit about healthcare.

Someone should check on Stevie now. In Runnin’ Down a Dream, she makes it pretty clear that she wanted to be a Heartbreaker in the worst way. She really, truly loved their music. After I processed the news of his death, I immediately wondered if she was ok.

This is just going to get worse and worse for us olds. I am not looking forward to it.

I was lucky enough to see him in concert 10 years ago, and Stevie was a ‘surprise guest’. I literally fell into tears during Free Fallin’. This is a tough one for me. More so than Prince or Bowie. So much musical talent. Gah.

Someone needs to immediately put Stevie Nicks into a bubble. 2017 will NOT do to me what 2016 did. I’m so upset about this. He wasn’t even old.

Driving along, that song comes on, crank it up, belt it out. Middle age retreats and indestructible youth revives for 3:36 minutes.

And an awful day gets worse.

I loved his music, and I loved his attitude. See the“Runnin Down a Dream” doc if you haven’t already - it’s a wonderful mining of his and his band’s work.

And you can’t forget his work with Stevie....
