I’ve always had a soft spot for the Cosmo. Thought about importing one into Canada a few years back after a friend did the same thing. Loved how smooth and comfortable of a GT car it was.

Got to take the local press car out for a week a while ago. I loved the thing. Without doubt, it’s one of the best SUVs I’ve driven. Sure, some of their competition is faster, more luxurious or have more brand prestige, but I genuinely think this is the best all-rounder in the luxury suv market right now. Need to get…
I know addiction knows no age boundaries but for some reason I’m vaguely surprised that a 73 year old is busy snorting coke. That said, he probably figured he’s had a good life and what the hell, might as well live life to its fullest, right?
Thankfully I haven’t managed to strip a vc bolt on a Honda or Acura... Yet. However, I’m currently in the process of rebuilding my 2002 Jetta TDI. Those bastards use torx (or is it hex? Can’t recall now) bolts for the vc. Got the front ones out no problem, then proceeded to strip the heads off all the rear bolts. Even…
I’m gonna say something that may not be terribly popular around these parts: I was hoping for something a little different from the interior.
Apart from the superhuman reflexes that I likely lack, the biggest thing that would prevent me from even attempting a rally course like that is the fear of spectators. Namely those who stand either too close to the road or even those who stand in it. Even though it wouldn’t be my fault for hitting a spectator in one…
Easy answer for me: Aston Martin DB9. Drove one about a year after they were originally released. Top Gear had waxed poetic about it and, when I found out a buddy of mine had bought (okay, leased) one, I begged him to let me take it out for a spin. He actually gave me the okay to take it on the Sea-to-Sky Highway…
My story I had almost forgotten about until I saw this thread.
Sweeping generalization here but any poorly modified vehicle. I’ve driven some super cars and exotics in the past and, while they do sorta kinda scare you when you start pushing the limits, I’ve never been more afraid than when in a club members car that I know is running sketchy repairs and eBay quality parts.
I’m curious to know if the donor NSX was in good condition or if it was damaged in some way to make it “cheaper” to build the replica than repair it to its original self. If it’s the latter, then I could understand. If not... Ugh.
Let me guess, he’s originally from Alberta?
I’m sure I’ll be ostracized for saying this, but I never understood the obsession with the E-Type. Coupe or convertible, they both look awkward to me. I realize it’s a product of a different time period and tastes are subjective, but it just looks weird. Not beautiful at all.
I have one of these booked for review in a couple weeks. Gotta admit, it’s one of the few cars I’ve been looking forward to actually driving. Looking forward to what your ultimate opinion is on this thing!
I used to drive a couple of stanced cars (GTI and Accord). I enjoyed them, but later decided that having a comfortable ride was more important than looks. That said, every time I would go out to a meet, I knew there was a chance I might get pulled over. Suspension travel was minimal, the ability to get over speed…
I think all states have a law regarding this as well, but the Province I’m from requires all vehicles to make sure that the bottom of the rim (not tire) is the lowest point of the car. That way if a tire blows, it can still move under its own power and not be stuck dragging the frame. My guess is most of the stanced…
Are you positive bikes and trucks aren’t being pulled over as well, or are you just making an assumption? Of course the focus is going to be on the stanced vehicles, but that doesn’t mean the others aren’t being ticketed.
What the hell? So glad my only time in the food industry was a six month stint at a movie theatre. Free pop, slushies and popcorn!
Which is funny because here in Canada our servers are paid the same minimum wage as anyone else (and often more, pre tips) and the prices of our Big Macs are still on par with those down South. Provided you ignore our shitty exchange rate, of course lol
This comment will probably get lost in the pending grey abyss, but I’ll make it anyway.
Brake Kleen, Tri-Flow and Liquid Wrench (or alternatives). They’re cheap and they can make your job far easier, especially if you’re working on an older car.
