That’s what I was wondering. I’ve got a MK4 Jetta TDI and it’s not affected by this whole issue. Yet I’m sure someone out there will simply assume ALL of VW’s TDI’s (and probably even think their original diesel’s) fall under this same umbrella, and leave a note on one of those cars.

Rotors will easily start showing surface rust if a vehicle hasn’t moved for a few days. Doesn’t necessarily indicate a larger issue at play.

Common on pick up trucks as well. At least, where I live.

Honda CRX SI. Love those cars. They can tackle the mountain roads with minimal modifications and still sip fuel. It’s just too bad it’s getting extremely hard to find a non-rusted and unmodified one.

Rather enjoying the Lotus comments... lol

A few years back I was invited to an ex’s wedding down in Leavenworth, WA. As I lived just outside of Vancouver, BC at the time, it was going to be a long trip (not distance wise, but because the border crossing always had at least a couple hour wait). As I knew I was going to be sitting in a car not moving for a

This may sound silly but I’m impressed at how low-key they are. That, and the fact that they seem to be repurposed from active civilian duty is surprising. I know it’s just basica transport designed for short hops in their current form, but if there’s one thing Hollywood has taught me, it’s that the government will

Honestly? Semi trucks. The roads and highways where I live are full of heavily loaded 18 wheelers and b-trains. The amount of damage in the form of ruts that they cause means these roads have to be regraded and paved every couple years. Converting them to a hover style would be great news, not just for tax payers but

I just go by the stereotype that Americans can’t do math and that helps my brain explain the pizza lady.

Don’t worry. I’m in Canada and I worry every time I see “From our cousins in the North!” stories. Especially since our Federal election is coming up in a few weeks...

Was expecting to hear some sick coughing and sniffling as it drove past, due to the literal comment.

Three things stand out for me:

My guess is the SLS mclaren

This. Most schools teach you to hit the animal if no other safe solution presents itself. I imagine autonomous vehicles will be “taught” similar things. The major issue is if a vehicle can tell the difference between a large dog and a child on a tricycle that’s suddenly appeared in front of you.

Please tell me this upgrade also comes with plaid...

This. I live in an area of Canada that experiences both insanely hot summers and very cold winters. Most of my cars have had leather seats and, even though they were heated, it freakin’ sucks.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I’d definitely take the Scion Justy GL over an R32 GTR!

I grew up in a GM household as well, though not by choice. My dad had company cars that were all, unfortunately, GM branded. Because he had to travel a lot and bring show equipment with him, his usual lease choice was a van. Every single vehicle he ever had as a lease had at least one major issue, and that’s not an

In Rome your Smart car might be hit by another small car, in America it might be crushed by a yellow hummer with a lawyer an irate automotive journalist behind the wheel.

I love the Kizashi. I’ve always kept an eye out for one but there are very few in my market, and those that exist are still fetching insane amounts of money.
