I think you misunderstand my position. Cops have “called me out on it” probably about five times over the years. I know it’s not illegal, and so do they. Most cops just say “okay, just be careful, please” instead of pulling out the handcuffs.

I think you’d be surprised how many things are technically illegal. For example, driving 66 in a 65 zone! I know lots of people who’ve been charged with a felony for doing that!

It’s illegal to drive a car on the sidewalk. It is not illegal to run on the road.
