I want everyone reading these articles and scratching their heads at Tesla’s design decision here to read up on Clotaire Rapaille, a French psychologist and guy who’s largely responsible for the PT Cruiser itself.
Thanks!
FWIW I’m not a Tesla fanboy either; it just seems like everyone here is so damned eager to let Perfect be the enemy of Good.
Musk isn’t saying it’s a god damned snowplow
Whyyyyyy does that matter right now? Why can’t progress in electric vehicles be iterative? Why does it have to do everything better than ICE to matter at all?
Not shocked. One time I made a comment on one of their youtube videos that it was just cringey as all fuck, and the god damned CEO starting talking shit back to me from his personal youtube account.
I have been to NYC 6 times this year alone for work. At home I ride the bus to work every day in my city. I use public transportation more than the people on this thread who are preaching at me lol.
I do whatever is convenient. I don’t have an axe to grind with Uber like most people here do. So if that’s convenient, I’ll use that. Or I’ll take a train if that seems like the better option. And yeah, I’d take taxis and car services before Uber and Lyft, or rent a car. And no, I wouldn’t spend my vacation time…
...what? I don’t travel the world because I don’t enjoy dealing with public transit on vacation?
You’d be amazed how many people don’t live in New York—or have never even been there—and how well that translates to having no interest in trying to figure out the public transit system.
Because we still need to convince an obnoxiously large percentage of the global population that it's real, and a problem. They don't listen to science. They only respond to theatrics.
There is no short term solve to this barring a major breakthrough, and I think companies like Tesla should embrace it.
It is ugly, but it’s still cool. But...
That’s because people aren’t using trucks for truck stuff.
‘em status = got
Yeah except this is unambiguously bad design. It's not like a cool concept people were clamoring for. It's like the 80s idea of what cars in 2050 would look like and executed just as poorly.
Nope. Best buy is selling a way better model for a comparable price this black Friday online

You have to look ahead at the market. Self driving cars as a standard are coming, and it will be in your lifetime.
