I disagree. Sometimes, you don’t realize how toxic a person was for you until you get some time and distance. 25 years ago, one of my best friends and I had a massive falling out. I actually prefer to the Keebler Grasshopper cookies to Thin Mints. But, I buy the cookies because it is a way to give money to a cause I believe in while getting cookies in return. Even if only part of it stays with my local Girl Scouts, helping the organization as a whole is also a good thing.
