I went to a public Montessori school and I am a proud peasant. It can’t be that exclusive if it only has a “Good” rating.

It’s more about socialization than anything else at that age. If they waited until he was 5 to introduce him to peasant children at an actual school, we could end up with another Charles. *shudder*

I have a serious urge to send that station a hundred of these hats, because if a woman walks down the street wearing this, people know she isn’t afraid of anything.

I live in the TC area and have a hat like this. It's the bomb. I've had it since 1996.

As far as I know they’re basically saying “We’re not with them” to anybody who’ll listen.

So their parents basically decided for the Olsens when they were infants that they were going to be on this sitcom. They did extremely lame shows and straight-to-DVDs for a good 20 years of their lives. Sure, it made them billionaires, but now they’ve moved on.

The people who voted her in are pretty far north of the cities, either far out suburbs or rural. My district voted in the Muslim guy.

Ladies, if the guy you’re dating lists one of his hobbies as “militia”: DEALBREAKER.

1. She is from Iowa, 2. She represents the furthest suburbs and exurbs where people pretty much live in planned communities of McMansions in the woods.

I’m not just okay with it, I’m ALL ABOUT it. So far, we’ve made feminist progress in opening up traditionally masculine/male-dominated things to women, but we still fail at opening up traditionally feminine things to men. This article does a great job explaining it.

There is literally no non-racist reason why this woman has to be white. “That’s what the current role is casting for” just means we “we don’t want to put people of color on tv.”

That title is misleading. It’s should be Minnesota Passive Aggresive.

I know we’re going to hear from people saying that hormonal birth control carries health risks and shouldn’t be given out lightly, but I’d assume the health questionnaire might let the pharmacist use his/her judgement in prescribing if there is a mitigating health issue?

Everything will be okay. The mother had a nervous breakdown because the father died. The kids will wander from place to place trying to find an aunt that lives in Connecticut. The aunt isn’t very nice and makes them work and stuff. But then the kids will meet a really nice stranger hippy sort who will take them in for

Thank you, I appreciate your commentary.

The funny part is that, while Japan’s science and tech education far outpaces the U.S.’s, their scientific research/experimentation and technological innovation is left in the dust by us . . . and the prevailing theory for that is that the comparative emphasis on humanities and creativity in the American system is

You know what else is important? Understanding language, rhetoric, reasoning, argument, logic, etc.

I am so sick of this bullshit prioritizing science and math over the humanities. People who can’t evaluate argument, recognize propaganda or understand history and sociology are much easier to manipulate, even if they

John Adams: “I must study politics and war, that my sons may have the liberty to study mathematics and philosophy, natural history and naval architecture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, tapestry, and porcelain.”

Yeah but would you want to eat that dirty Mexican food? It's hard to pronounce and has exotic things like proper seasoning and spices.

I thought Carrie (daughter of Debbie Reynolds) was best celebrity child.
