They did a 9 picture deal with him because there’s an Eisner-award winning comic book run that ends with Bucky becoming Captain America. That leads into BuckyCap comics co-starring Natasha.

So this is what the AVClub has devolved to

As an aside, it’s always fascinating how men have a special distaste for things/characters/shows where the majority of fans are girls who are really intense about it.

That’s about right for Scarlet Witch.

This doesn’t apply to everyone. Elizabeth Olsen has mentioned a few times that scheduling has prevented her from being able to take on other projects but idk man maybe it’s just her.

As a book Jon Snow fan, I’ve been resigned to that’s what the show thinks Jon Snow - snarky, ruthless, cold - is. He’s emo, but that’s not all he is. I don’t blame Kit for it either because there’s only so much he can do.

“The downside to Durance’s Lois is that she spends nearly six seasons in the dark on Clark’s secret and often comes off as...kind of stupid because she never puts two and two together”

Is this like the time you claimed that Thor was the best version of Superman even though beyond a cursory take they’re really nothing alike?

So this is a list of fictional reporters rather than a list of Lois Lanes then? lmao ok.

I liked it but I did laugh at how it lived on the energy of social justice movements alone without having a story, dynamics, acting that would make this a story versus an afterschool special. The best thing about the show was its identity politics and that shouldn’t be the only thing commendable about a show. Macy

Wow, a Dream of Spring is out and you’ve read it??? I’m not a huge fan of Dany’s but these tired sexist theories have been propagated by the WORG Jon fanboys for years pre-show and it’s laughable to see them thrown about as if they’re anything more than basic ass spec. Not surprised to see you propagate them though

YES. It’s saved me so much money on Morphe and Colourpop.

I loved the themes of the prequels. As an adult watching SW in 2006 for the first time after all the movies were over, the prequel era was what gripped me, first. I doubt I’d have been as interested as I became in the OT if not for what the prequels built about the SW universe.

Same. I’m an adult SW fan - as in I watched SW for the first time as an adult - and I saw the Jedi arc that the author apparently only saw within the prequels. Also, I like TCW, but people using it to put the prequels down constantly is alienating to other fans in the fandom. We see y’all do this all the time and it

SkincareAddiction and MakeupAddiction are my jam. They saved my skin whereas before I didn’t know how to take care of my sudden onset adult acne.

I said it wasn’t a betrayal because of the lack of relationship between Beyonce and RR. I never said it was morally okay. I never even brought up the word moral or stated that Roy was a ok for cheating with Jay-Z.. Participating in cheating is amoral. But, that still doesn’t mean a betrayal between Beyonce and Roy

You’re conflating two things: Betrayal and lack of integrity.

She made a vague non-apologetic comment on IG. That warrants the deluge of slutshaming, racism (I saw the slumdog millionaire comment), and the abusive language spit out at children, I guess.

Seriously. Winn was the character I was least interested in. He ended up the show being my most improved.

Maybe the finale was just so cloyingly sweet for a first season finale - which is why the episode should’ve ended on a cliffhanger like others have suggested - but I ended up watching the DCAU episode where Supergirl decides to go to the future with Brainiac 5 and the Legion.
