I’m a sucker for continuity. It is absolutely a big part of why I love the MCU. But honestly, I’m even more of a sucker for it with anthologies, like how the side games in FF very much flesh out the universe AROUND the main games and kinda ties them in with a lot ofdeeper things going on.
Or, even just something as

God these “should never say” articles are awful

That’s what I was saying, but the consensus I got from responses was that the Last of Us knockoff deserved to die.

But then in the other thread people were telling me Last Hope doesn't deserve to be preserved

I feel as tho all of those are worth preserving too. There are a few harmful exceptions that I don’t feel like getting into whataboutisms over, but I still don’t think “this product is awful” is a good enough reason to completely throw something to the wayside.

My point is that they should be available, I’m not making a wish to be able to personally access them.

I don’t personally feel that “enjoyability” is an important factor.
I mean, it can be argued that SOMEONE will find these games fun, for whatever personal reason... but even with that argument, I still don’t think it should matter.

If a game has existed publicly at any point, and someone has been able to play that game,

There’s plenty of old shovelware games for classic consoles too.

We are losing access to so many games, and it begs the question... Should we lose these cheap knock-offs to time as well?

I dunno anything about Mr Beast, and I should care about him why?

Nothing makes me lose interest in a game quicker than learning it's roguelite/like

I got the original at a decent discount. It was fun and polished enough for what it was, but the whole time I played it I was just wishing I was playing smash bros instead

“rare" ???

Damn. I hated X and loved XV

Wonder how much stuff like this actually ends up in the dump without someone coming across it

you can’t go into them wanting more of the original. They are very standalone in their presentation.

That said, Progressive tried a little too hard to follow the ‘zaniness’ of the original and it kinda missed the mark on that, but it does almost as good a job as the original on the metaphors.
Alternative mostly does

the sequels were fantastic

Between the time limit, and the pikmin dying over little slipups, yeah. These games are too stressful for me

“and were still able to find great success and victory under such stressful conditions”

I mean, not really? Humans were nearly wiped out. The planet rendered nearly inhospitable and lots of food and resources diminished. A large amount of their technology useless without a fuel source. A general distaste for order in

I mean, Sonic is pretty heavy in the area still with it’s mobile games and Speed Simulator.  Not as bad as other games but still
