These are all heavy action / story episodes.
The best episodes are the ones that don’t take the plot serious and get goofy with side stories.

This just makes me want to play even less
nvm
I usually like these intros but was wondering why this one wasn't doing it for me
It’s ok to hate the game too. It’s not perfect. The progression kinda sucks and the plot can be difficult to follow.
There’s greater than 0 things to do between points in FF XIII as well. Sometimes that number is still small. Sometimes it’s not.
Enjoying the ability to wander is fine, all I’m saying is that it’s not a…
I don’t understand how quicktime events have anything to do with the topic.
I also love interactive movie type games, but again, doesn’t really feel relevant.
And yeah, I’ve played all the way thru every FF from 1-15 (except 8. god that game is so hard for me to get into), as well as most of the side games.
Having a map…
I was talking linear gameplay, not plot. And I stand by it, all the previous FFs were the same.
Maybe that excludes XII? That one was more like an MMO in that there was a bit more optional content to do alongside the main game, but then pretty sure you could just knock most of that out “on the way” anyway
X and VIII are both trash and belong at the bottom of the list. Throw VI down there while you’re at it.
Too much credit? I almost only ever hear people shitting on it.
Which is sad because it was honestly a really fun game.
Besides, all Final Fantasy games were linear, there was usually very little “exploration” you could do, beyond where you were suppose to go in the first place.
No
I mean, it doesn't help that development times for these games is far longer than it used to be, and the games are getting more and more costly to even play.
oh, PS controllers also got better with each iteration. But I genuinely like the size of DS3. If you hold the controller tight, I can see it being a pain but holding it a little loose is generally how I play. I also vastly prefer the flat buttons of PS controllers over the small pebble buttons of xbox.
V is top tier so I'm not surprised
I hate everything about it. The dpad, the sticks, the buttons, the triggers/bumbers, the hand-feel. I was maining 360 back during that Gen, but I switched to ps3 and GOD the change in controller was liberating.
Why would I wanna buy a replica of one of the worst controllers in existence? D:
majority of the levels in Mania were new. Either, brand new Zones completely, or brand new acts within old zones.
The handful of levels that were similar to old levels were remixed a bit too, not carbon copies
for $60 tho?
damn, imagine being so wrong and having such a shit take
Like most slang, “it’s giving” originated as AAVE. I dunno anything about it now being primarily in queer spaces (I’ve seen it in plenty of other contexts), but that’s definitely not its origin.
But Sonic Mania was an all new game with all new levels?
