I have to admire a superhero's decision to fight a ninja with escrima sticks! Although many Filipinos don't give their own marital arts escrima/stick fighting tradition enough credit, I think that many MMA dojos and possibly US elite special forces use them to train. However, it's been a long time since some old

Yep, Hollywoodization seems to be inescapable. Strange though that in many cases many blondes go ginger instead of the other way around. (Amy Adams, Rachel Nichols, etc)

Good. I now know how to pace my Fringe watching, so that by the time I run out of episodes, my withdrawal symptoms won't be too severe. X-Files should hopefully be the same calibre. Maybe John Noble can make some guest appearances.

Just saw it last night on IMAX 3-D. Seeing it in that format was my concession to my 11 year daughter and her friend who wanted to see Minions. I wasn't interested in blowing good money for another SpongeBob-like cash grab by our corporate masters, so I opted for Ant-man.

I think the vampire Aiden Waite needs to make an appearance and add a new meaning to the series title "Turn".

Cool. And we can also look forward to the return of the basselope!

I thought it was time to head over to the Iron Islands. Are there more important things afoot over there?

She threatened to out Lyle to the repressed Victorian public as a homosexual and destroy his career.

Besides the Last Temptation of Christ, Vanessa's imaginary family also reminded me of a similar scene in Star Trek: Generations where Captain Picard met his imaginary progeny in different circumstances. However, the one similarity is that both their lifestyles prevent a family situation from developing for both of

Hah, her ability to "speak American" would be put to good use.

What's unclear though, is what possesses Vanessa. I was thinking, Amonette? And then there was that scorpion disappearing into her palm. I guess horror was never meant to totally make sense.

(Spoilers!)Although it was oddly mesmerizing to watch, I still don't understand how Vanessa beat Satan. Let me work through this. So she beat him by utilizing the Verbis Diablo, which is actually his own language? And how was that done exactly? There was something about her being Amonette, and she being possessed

Ok scratch Roper. I'll say he's an instance of how someone evil and ugly fails at trapping his prey. Fixed it!

Timothy Dalton's enunciation of "chicanery" is up there with Patrick Stewart's enunciation of "charade" as two of my favorite ones made by British actors.

Clare's (was it Clare?) idea about evil making itself beautiful to entrap people was played over and over again in this episode. Clare himself gets trapped by Lavinia (what chicanery!), Hecate attempted to trap Ethan, Bronastein trapping Dorian, and previously, Malcolm allows himself to be trapped by Evelyn.

How about a planet in our solar system going rogue and becoming some incubator of a dangerous species. Shoot, I need to send them my resume.

Invasion of the green skinned alien women who need men to reproduce/fuck.

I think at this point John Clare must be wondering if having Lily come out as her bride is what he really wants. I don't see Clare as evil, but as a poor creature trying to find some measure of happiness. Lily wants world domination. Anybody here read the Hellboy comics? Much of the Frankenstein arc seems to be

Yep, her transformation from naive to apprehensive undead goddess was very sudden. I think there should have been some intermediary steps, but I guess they don't have enough episodes that would allow them to do that.

I saw that line as an extrapolation from the ideas of Marcus Aurelius. You should pick it up, it's a good, but depressing meditation on mortality.
