Are you saying she got Cosbied?
Are you saying she got Cosbied?
I don't know how Lyle is going to survive this season. He's walking a thin line between betraying Team Vanessa and helping them out. Interesting juxtaposition of him and the gargoyle, as though he was some kind of witch's familiar.
Angelique is dead? I thought she passed out. Need to watch that again.
Evelyn spelling out her deal with the devil in mafia terms:
"It's not personal, it's just an exchange of goods and services."
Finally saw this episode during a Midwestern thunderstorm. There are some mumbo jumbo occult themes tying the the Amon-Ra stuff from last season with this season. It seems to me that the devil in the Verbis Diablo puzzle is obsessing about the Hound of God (Ethan) spoiling the whole marriage between it and the…
Actually, in the book, the old gods come over to America and take on new roles. Some of the more exotically named towns take on new meaning. (i.e. Cairo, IL)
Hey I think Sam Witwer is looking for a gig. I think this is the role for him.
This is going to be awesome! This book takes place in the American midwest, a region that I live, so I'm looking forward to the portrayal of all the places in book. I can't wait to see the phantasmagoric carousel from House on the Rock. Kudos to Gaiman from transforming what I sometimes think of as a bland region…
More like,
Dorian sure has a taste for the androgynous, and maybe Victor too. Angelique may be an effeminate male, but Billie Piper/Lily comes across to me with her less delicate features (thick lips, strong brow) as the masculine female. Didn't Dorian and Victor have a fling together in season 1? This show is exploring some…
This episode was pasted with the theme about staying young forever. But if John Clare may not be truly alive, what does that say about Lily?
Not really, for a while there I thought he was going to look into the mirror and say "my name is Bond, James Bond".
I agree with the reviewer. I think the dark apocalyptic stuff is the way to go. In this episode we saw a psychotic Votan commander, cannibalistic Votans, death of major characters. Heh, keep it coming!
Seems as though the Castithans are acquainted with the Andorans.
Just saw it tonight! I missed the 2 foot mohawks from the previous versions. Other than that, there was just enough plot and acting to make you care about the action in the second half. Shit, why couldn't Whedon do that for Age of Ultron? Miller is a fucking genius!
Amy Adams is a natural blonde.
It seemed kind of pointless in another way. The witches had already attacked the cliff and gotten a piece of Vanessa. I thought the efforts to fortify the mansion was like installing anti-virus on a PC after it had already been infiltrated, and then they forgot to avoid the bad websites.
I wouldn't say Victor murdered her. More like a mercy killing. She was at the end stage of tuberculosis, and bringer her back was a chance for Brona to possibly be reborn.
I watched it this evening. (spoilers!) On a purely technical level, I thought the rape scenes in the dungeon and the aftermath were well done. It was hard to watch, and the emotional depths that the actors had to go to make it real was commendable. On the other hand, I'm trying to wrap my head around what the…
Those thick lips, that funky hair, and that athletic coordination! Angelique looks like a possible Prince relative!
