I got the day off for the governor’s inauguration, but not Donnie’s. Which is just fine with me.

For me it’s the hypocrisy. All the negative generalizing, scapegoating, disparagement, resentment and animosity towards people of a certain race and gender that I see on regular display in the articles and comments here is the kind of problematic thinking that I thought the community here was fighting against.

Girl Scouts is a non-political organization. It’s IMPORTANT that it’s non-political. Because once you start making a political stand, whatever family is on the opposite side of that stand will take their girl out of Girl Scouts.
