I’m a huge, flaming progressive, but the way most progressives handle comedy is embarrassing. Case in point, the entire article above.

right, it’s the sanctimonious, always vigil, up-your-ass-if-you-say-anything-mildly-offensive progressives that need to get some perspective. not everything requires an all out rage response...ESPECIALLY comedians.

Judging by what I read here and related blogs, the only comedy most of them enjoy anymore are various forms of “Donald Trump is orange” jokes.

I’ve made this argument on Jez to much (obvious) contention but really, I just don’t think comedy is for progressives. Modern progressives are too sensitive and go into viewing entertainment with a list of boxes to check for groups and subgroups and sub-subgroups that shouldn’t be “offended.”

As long as you found a reason to talk about Trump.

Just out of curiosity, why would you not think this was terrorism even if you didn’t know it was Parliament (giving you the benefit of the doubt that you somehow missed that fact)? Man, probably men, intentionally runs over civilians, crashes car into government building, then jumps out and starts stabbing police…

How would this have been any different on a non-profit site? What exactly did Facebook do wrong here? According to the facts presented here they removed the video as soon as they were informed.
