I mean this is what comic books do. The re-imagine and recreate the characters continuously. A lot of times they suck and they revert back to what works, but there’s plenty of crap in between. 

Great question and I’m glad you asked why. I should have phrased it differently. You can certainly disagree with your employers rules, but you shouldn’t be surprised when they enforce those rules and you no longer have a job.

I don’t think the issue is that the kid smoked weed (although that’s certainly part of it). I think the issue is that he is dumb enough to a) film himself smoking weed and b) take that mask off showing that it was actually him smoking weed. And as you stated above it’s not his first red flag.

Who’s really surprised by this? You could tell from the previews and ridiculous amount of released footage that they weren’t sure about this movie. Eisenberg never felt like the right choice for Luther and his comments about how he wanted to do something different with the character only made it worse.

It’s crazy that probably several people from the Rangers organization looked at the backdrop and were like, “Yeah that looks awesome. Lets use it!”.
