Have a look at the linked article in Science. Apparently there were several components to the study that weren’t mentioned in this article, including having the children identify “smart” individuals as they looked at pictures of unfamiliar men and women. If looked at individually, each component of the study might

It’s saddening how many people are totally unaware of how devastating the Holocaust was for Judaism as a broader culture. Obviously the deaths of millions of people, Jew or not, is the main tragedy of the Holocaust. But we didn’t just lose those people, we lost whole communities. And the result has been that many

I am literally only here and alive because my grandparents fled the Holocaust, were the only members of their families to survive, spent months in a DP camp, and finally were allowed into the US as refugees.

This little brother?

Not very many people did that, so stop sniveling.

Back in the day, but not now. He had celebrities at his parties all the time. Joy Behar was at his wedding. Hell, the Clintons were good friends of his.

I’m not even talking about the content. I’m talking about the inevitable person who has to come here and smugly predict what kind of comments we’re going to get on a specific article. It’s annoying, smug and pointless. I’m allowed to have pet peeves.

And never until now has it had an actual chance at succeeding.

What? I haven’t seen any of this and I know a lot of Bernie people (me included, though I’m not a bro). Obviously it would not have been constructive for her to attend, because then it would make the march seem more like a sore loser, pro-Hillary march than a we’re-united-against-Trump thing. I’m sure Hillary would

I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re on to something, but that might not be the whole picture, because...

Not really though. I’m assuming she still has strong ties to the country community—I’m guessing a lot of them are Trump supporters. Had she shown up to the march, it would’ve sent a divisive message to her conservative fans (even though in reality that’s far from the truth-she would just be supporting human rights).

Your takeaway from the last election was that our standards are too high?
