Their treatment of the international audience is extremely apathetic. Since Season 1 of Discovery every new trailer release for all the Trek shows has been region locked on YouTube. It’s like they go out of their way to hamstring their own buzz.

Failing to have their own streaming service ready internationally before

It’s like a KKK nativity scene..

Sister Act 3 - Mild mannered Sister Mary Clarence has to go into witness protection with the mob and learn to live as a Las Vegas lounge singer after agreeing to testify against her parish for decades of historic abuse prompted by the discovery of a mass grave beneath St. Katherine’s.

The algorithms have determined that he is the most generic of all men.

Good.

Toss it on the pile of adaptations that should have been anthologies with I, Robot and World War Z

Wanting James Bond to be more diverse is pretty close to the “Hire More Female Prison Guards” meme. The source material is completely wretched and should be allowed to die.

This is just false.

Gothmog was CLEARLY based on Dana Rohrabacher

When I was a kid I had a VHS tape with recorded TV broadcasts of Flight of the Navigator and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, and it took me far too many runs of that tape to realize Paul Reubens was in both of them.

I’ve always loved the movie for the creepy realistic tone of its first half. The scene where David comes home

Blasphemy is good.

Some watch it to rubberneck but the avid fans tend to be the ones who buy a lot of brain pills from web ads

It’s the last minute of the piece ‘Storming New Caprica’

Also on the subject of the show in general, while I -do- have issues with the ending it doesn’t spoil all the fantastic meat of the show’s run. I just create a different ending in my mind and enjoy everything else.

I really appreciate how they avoided ever

Owens believes in nothing. She is just a physical vessel for whatever the collected conservative consciousness cares about on any given day. Whenever I have seen anyone interview her it’s like watching an exorcist ask a child what the invisible monster is saying.

There was this funny parody musical by the Starkid people a while back about Jaffar from Aladdin.

In it there is a song in which all the Disney villains come to Jaffar in his dreams and sing about how their stories are all “twisted” and misunderstood. Eventually this leads to Cruella showing up and they stop the song

Mixing the two is known as a Tom Hollandaise.

Thanks for the book rec
