Nobody ever counts adventure games :(
No review copies? That is a really bad sign. Especially given that the interviewee above claims he wants to put the game in the "AAA space."
It is so great to see io9 doing more sci-fi video game coverage and focusing on the sci-fi universe elements. This is a really neglected aspect of video game coverage that io9 has the potential to do better than anyone else.
You were the one who brought economics into it. I'm simply pointing out that if the costume update were really helping their bottom line - by not "losing potential customers" - then they probably would have stuck with it.
If comic book publishers work at all like any other company in the world, then losing actual customers is probably more hurtful to them than losing potential customers.
It would have been nicer if they could have un-rebooted her storyline back to when she and Terra were hanging out in NYC.
I think there was some interest in exploring concepts like this, but the network was very keen on making the show as "episodic" as possible, to the point of actively re-arranging the order of the episodes on the air. This was before the idea of Buffy-style season arcs had become popular like they are now.
Wasn't the Buffy sex doll a major character for half a season or so?
Oh, are these the Guild02 games?
An io9 favorite from not-so-way-back!
Oh come on.
This show had a long, sad, history of progressively getting worse and worse as it was abused by various network executives, producers, writers and eventually even the actors Jerry O'Connell. By the end, it seemed like no one involved in the show wanted to be there.
"I know that Nintendo has something up their sleeve to help with sales"
I haven't found io9's "futurist" topics (science, society, politics) nearly as compelling as its "cultural" content (genre television, movies, books, comics, games etc.) So I would say broaden the genre range and eliminate or narrow the real-world topics.
So after being on the market barely a year and a half, we can expect to see The Old Republic shut down? Wow.
This has been happening for at least the past year. I've been reporting it, but no one's believed me.
These look great, especially Supergirl.
Yet another indication that when George Lucas talks about his original "plan" for Star Wars as having always been this or that, he is probably lying.
It's great that you and others seem to find this function of RSS useful.
