Is there a take on this other than Foerster is/was a dumb besotted older dude with substance issues that got fucked over massively by a stripper (presumably after some failed blackmail shakedown) who’s now trying to make it out to be some noble political act?

This is some cruel shit. Some dumb shit too. But the cruelty

I’m sure it’s a civil rights issue to her, not the fact that he threatened to contact security after she tried to blackmail him.

USWNT is gonna have to save America’s bacon again?

You he’s right you don’t make sweeping changes based of if a shot would have been two inches to the left or right.

“You don’t make wholesale changes based on the ball being 2 inches wide or 2 inches in,” he said in remarks reported by ESPNFC, referring to a late shot by Clint Dempsey that would’ve leveled the match and booked the USMNT’s qualification, only to hit the post.

For real. We trot out players that weren’t good enough four years ago and we act surprised when this happens. We let the MLS and USSF become conjoined like carnival freaks and it results in a team filled to the brink with players that just aren’t good enough.

Come on guy. They lost to Trinidad and Tobago. The United States. We shouldn’t lose to Trinidad and Tobago at anything. ANYTHING. If you don’t think that’s at least a little bit hilarious, well, I don’t know what to tell you. If England ever loses to Bermuda, you’d never stop laughing.

They need to overhaul USA soccer from asshole to eyebrow.

What does each of the leagues those teams belong to have besides MLS? Promotion and relegation.

Where tonight’s roster plays their club soccer: Dortmund (1), Stoke (1), Newcastle (1), Fulham (1), Hamburg (1), Liga MX (3), MLS (17).

We got a midfielder at Schalke that went a full 90 against Bayern.

This feels like a more roundabout way of saying ‘there’s a hole in my life that can only be filled by a different person’, which comes back around to the source of the problem being a deficiency in the person that decided to cheat, which pretty neatly makes the problem lie in you, the cheater. Yeah, you can dress it

Hopefully more people will realize this. I write policy for my company and we fire people every year for their inappropriate use of social media, and every time the person threatens to sue until we remind them we have a posted policy that they indicated they read and understood! Especially when you work for a public

That was the silliest response I think I’ve ever read. It reminds me of disciplining my children and their response is oftentimes “well, my brother did it too”. Inappropriate behavior is inappropriate no matter the reason.

I think there could be a distinction between what she said about the NFL and what she said about Trump. The NFL is one of ESPN’s biggest customers. Trump is the president. It’s not at all crazy to me that my employer might have something to say in respect of my public comments about the former, but not the latter.

n Oregon, the law is very clear on this. Any employer can fire you at any time without giving a reason. Don’t have to say it’s for poor job performance or for any other reason. Oregon employers can fire any employee at will with or without cause. That all somehow seems quite fair to me. After all, an employee can quit

yes! teachers can not post anything remotely political or offensive. Several have been fired for social media pictures of them drinking. super frustrating because most other professions have the freedom to express themselves on social media.

You don’t have any rights as an employee, especially when your actions embarrass the company. They will suspend or fire you or whatever they feel will stop the hounds baying at their door.

Kinda reminds me of how my middle school and high school student handbook back in 1996 to 2004 says if I get into any major trouble outside of school and time I can still be suspended or expelled.

As a teacher we can not post anything on social media without the threat of action if it is deemed inappropriate. I don’t see this as anything any different, she advocating boycotting a business partner of her employer, some of those sponsors even advertise on her own show. How does anyone think that is ok?
