I read an interesting article a few years back regarding styling and how most cars look the same. It argued that aerodynamics drivers much of it (they've figured out what shape is the most aerodynamic), and also consumer preference to some extent (most people don't like weird looking vehicles).

Only because someone will care for it and maintain it. If 2018 Ford Escapes become collectible, they'll also be around for decades. All things being equal, the Escape is more reliable and better built than almost anything mass produced at that time.

Wow, it looks like there's actually some useable space in the back of the Tahoe now. 

I have no idea what they're doing with these new models, but the current generation Tahoe is able to be ordered with a third row delete. 

GM already dominates the market with these four vehicles, it's really their game to lose. 

$6900 will buy a nice C4, just sayin'.

Many moons ago, my boss had a FIAT 2000 and the thing I remember (other than being the first convertible I'd ever driven) was that parts were very cheap. That was in the mid-90s.
