So, I have two arguments on this subject, and I really didn’t do a very good job explaining them.

The grind/microtransaction ratio for this game and it’s base price is absurd. That’s my one complaint though. I’ve looked past it a bit since I’m in the middle of playing the story mode and am very much enjoying it.

Don’t forget the season pass, it has one of those too. 🙄😤

I just can’t justify $60 for a game that beats you in the face with microtransactions and doesn’t have dedicated servers... what a shame.

I wish I remembered this quest as fondly as you do. For me, the long boring slog through the Deep Roads made me stop caring about anything else and only wish to get all the dwarf business over with as quickly as possible.

I thought the general wisdom was to say “eff off” to these people because they may just go ahead and keep asking for more once you paid, or sell the info to someone else while collecting from you.
