I’m sad Lowe left cause I love Sam...but in seasons two and three Sorkin does seem to struggle in giving him strong story material. ‘Someone’s Going to Emergency...’ rehashes a plotline from Sports Night (turns out my Dad was cheater for years) and then after that there’s like, what? That time we met his ex-fiance?

“featuring Charles, Mabel, and his son Will (Ryan Broussard) dancing in sequined clothing”

I know it’s normal but it still amazes me how easy it seems to be to kick trials months down the road.  “We’d like to request a continuance your honor.”  “Sure thing.  How’s February 2025?”

Petrovsky was about as exactly needy but only on my terms as Carrie, IMO, and they’d never have worked out. He’s probably closer to what she deserved, but I do agree Big and Carrie made the most sense.

Sorry for the reply. Yeah, that’s absolutely true. Gerwig’s hardly being subtle about the ‘Kens = women’ analogy, but typical chuds too busy foaming at the mouth to see the obvious.

That is insane.

Not only was Monica’s apt rent controlled, they were living on the Grandmother's original lease. They never told the landlord the grandmother died.

Repeating for emphasis.

This is 100% the bigger issue with AJLT... It’s cannon that these folks have been living these lives for the past 20+ years since the end of SITC, but the dialogue & situations from everyone involved makes it seem like there was a blip that time-leaped from the end of one show & the start of the other.

I know that we can never have an article about New York set shows without mentioning this one, but Monica explicitly states the apartment belonged to her grandmother, was rent controlled (which is a real thing) and was probably leased before the West Village was trendy. Let’s also be savvy media consumers and

Oppenheimer spends the latter half of the movie in New Mexico wearing a silver belt buckle with a turquoise. He would go antiquing in Santa Fe.

A Fish Called Wanda is one of my favourite comedies ever. Everything is just perfect in that movie.

I feel I’ve heard several people say that Comic-Con may even be reduced to being centered on... Le gasp... comics this year. Where’s my fainting couch? (Tickets should be cheap at least. “Should” be, anyway.)

Spot on. Nobody gave a shit about Rocky 5 coming out.

it’s also like...people are annoying at concerts! they have been since before smartphones were invented.

Much like DeNiro, his late-career work has been uneven, but I thought his work in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was really good.

Originally, they wanted to kill Riker off in the episode Second Chances and bump Data to first officer, and they were shot down because movie was already on the schedule and that was too big a change.

100%. Also, I don’t think she actually dressed up for the Wicked number, but she wore the leotard thing to make it clear that she wasn’t just singing Single Ladies, she was being Beyonce. Like, that stupid racist joke that was cut from every Tom & Jerry episode for re-broadcast didn’t involve Tom actually wearing

I agree with most of this, especially Picard and Kirk together ultimately being kind of a dud. I think there were some stories they could have been good together in, but I think the idea of the Nexus was this movie’s big downfall. It was such a stupid, weightless idea, and that really hurt the time Stewart and Shatner

Maybe, but we don’t want to give away the big reveal that the true villain is (rustles papers, coughs) a lack of infrastructure spending.
