“I want to fire this guy, but I also must constantly big-note myself.”
“I want to fire this guy, but I also must constantly big-note myself.”
Honestly, for me it’s the fucking flavor. I am a middle-aged guy with a very pasty European palate. I hate the rise of “hot” as a nearly universal desired flavor quality.
I think that was a huge problem with the American version, along with finding hosts/judges that worked (I actually liked the last host combo of Emma Bunton and Anthony Adams). Mary Berry discovering the wonder of snickerdoodles was a delight.
Hutchins’s family has already gone after Baldwin. He’s the name defendant in their suit, as an individual, and they’re claiming his liability goes beyond just being a producer to his handling of the gun. They allege the scene in question didn’t require Baldwin to fire the gun, and that the gun wasn’t even necessary…
oh fuck John Wayne, fucking piece of racist shitheel
Zaslav looks like a guy who tells everyone he owns a boat. Whether or fuckin’ not him owning a boat is germane to whatever situation they’re in.
His complaint has the same energy as the “Oh, so now you can’t even talk to a woman‽‽” weirdos when #MeToo was first gaining traction.
Yeah, I heard the same—that because of its budget Batgirl was short on action, and then the budget ballooned anyway because of covid, leading to a movie that looked cheap but actually wasn’t. Weirdly, the one aspect I’ve seen singled out as cheapest-looking is Keaton’s bat-suit, which is supposedly the same one he…
Which, not that I’d ever look to “Grey’s” for social cues, but it seems like that was more how the show was motivated to develop. The “focus on one social item week” is how characters wind up spitting out hackneyed talking points cribbed from Headline News chyron.
Scoob was also pretty fun too.
Second favourite: Sir Terry Wogan hosts.
I’m going to check it out!
I grew up on Power Rangers and Rob Liefeld drawn comics... terrible looking, dumb fun. Try not to worry about the CGI all that much, and focus on whether the content is enjoyable or not. I’ve treated the MCU as very expensive cartoons since day 1 and it’s been wonderful.
My hope is that Mutants show up fully formed with history in the past that was secret. So some of the big stories of the past already happened
It’s also probably hard to stay motivated to perform Funny Girl when you’re trying out your new vampiric powers.
I never joined D+ until WandaVision premiered.
Eh, early ally yes, but a rather checkered one. Lots of gay men still feel she abandoned them during the AIDS crisis. I’m not going to get out the pitchforks nor do I assume she’s particularly TERF-y at this point, but it’s not surprising she’d look at a divide-and-conquer attempt and say “I don’t see anything wrong…
Holy shit, that interview about the picture book drove me nuts. It perfectly encapsulates my pet peeve about celebrity written picture books. They’ll go on highly publicized promo tours and talk about their writing process with ZERO mention of the illustrator of the book. a PICTURE book!
that was the cringiest shit from clips being posted. funniest when it froze on Allen’s end and Baldwin just starts raging around screaming in Spanish.
Sometimes people with issues are attracted to screwed-up people, whether that person is their abuser or their “rescuer.” I would not be at all surprised if that was the case here.
