My first year of college I probably bonded with my eventual best friend because she would walk two blocks to my dorm (where the rest of our social circle lived) every time someone tipped over a candle or lit a mattress on fire in a stairwell. This happened like twice a month. Legit fire issues take a lot longer to

Jillian Michaels LOVES to injure fat people. How many times on her show has she set the treadmill too fast, over the person’s complaints, only to have them fall off the damn thing, as predicted?

She’s a bully. Who the fuck cares what she thinks?

Revenge of the Nerds is one film which I think could benefit from a modern remake.  Maybe one which includes the Delta Mus for a female nerd perspective.

And of course two of the three named black characters are related -_-

My guess is they shot a version of that scene where it was more obvious that Lando was supposed to be her dad, but then somebody told JJ that it seemed vaguely racist to make this random person be Lando’s kid because she’s one of two new black characters we’ve seen in this whole sequel trilogy so they just left it

Agreed, we've gotten use to limited series, binge models of viewing and an episodic show like Mandalorian isn't the norm. I dig it, Mando and LBY just traveling around the galaxy doing jobs, while a larger arc is happening in the background.

On the one hand, I do agree with Arielle that the comedy has seemed a lot less sharp than Midge’s early stuff. Some of her sets this season have frankly been about the same level as the male comedians she mocked back in the day, just without being misogynistic.

I figure it has to do Stranger Things numbers to stick around because even critical buzz isn’t enough sometimes.

Hear, hear! Ten just isn’t enough. For me, it’s going along at too fast a clip. I really want to spend more time with these relationships. I understand that Wilson was her favorite but I’m not sure I understand really why that was.

Out of all the movies that could be made...this is certainly one of them.

Imagine having forced service during wartime arguably impact your health!

It also pokes at how the Cambridge Five were able to get away with what they did. They were all from the right families and went to the right schools so they couldn’t have been spies because they were “one of (well, five of) us.”
Here’s the queen being all suspicious of this vulgar, low-born socialist when it’s the

For what it’s worth, Kate was wearing her wedding ring in the flash forward scene.

I was thinking this exact thing!

Sounds like it’s just retreading a major theme of Hollow Man, and I guess just making it even more blatant? As though Hollow Man weren’t already pretty on the nose.

I also loved that they basically said “We were really lucky to have this opportunity and could never have succeeded without a ton of support from professionals we worked with” and we’re supposed to think “what a bunch of a-holes!”

Not to mention many of the new scenes they wrote that never existed in the books. People were praising all of that at the time. People didn’t shut up about how much they loved the scenes between Charles Dance and Maisie Williams which never took place in the books.

You still have to translate them to visual medium and edit out all the dumb bits about soup or whatever tangent GRRM wrote. They did a brilliant job streamlining the three tomes the first four seasons were based on. The show starts going downhill when they adapt book four and five which suck.

But I think people saying they should be ashamed to be seen in public are ridiculous. Even if you hated the end of the show, you’re being ridiculous.

Also, this article is more than a little snarky. No writing experience? Benioff wrote the critically acclaimed book City of Thieves, which I bought and read way back before I’d ever heard of GoT. It wasn’t world-changing, but it was a pretty good book.
