It’s been a while since I watched the episode, but my issue was more the threading of the multiple needles - mostly the Mia part with the tech part.

Way to show up, Stanley.
It’s okay to be cynical. I think it’s also okay to recognize that realistically, it’s summer. Not every A-Lister is necessarily in town near a picket line. It doesn’t mean that they won’t show up.
I mean those photo ops keep eyes and attention on the issue.
The actors can’t go to Comic Con because they shouldn’t be promoting work created by the studios. Fan goes to a con, buys merch to sign - that money goes to the studio. Fan goes to con and hears about a project, they go pay to watch it - that money goes to the studio. So even if you take the booking agents out of it…
I think one could argue what was more disruptive to those in the audience? Having people not sitting near them taking selfies? Having the performer stop singing? My only point is that she could have waited until the song was over and saved herself a lot of backlash.
His name is spelled Gerry, but pronounced like Gary.
The casting call was for 55+ and ABC publicly stated they were ideally looking for 65 years and older.
Garth Brooks is using Yondr cases so it seems like if she really dislikes this there is a work around. Looking at the pictures, I can see that it’s more obvious because the girls are the only ones standing up, which is not clear in the reporting, but surely that’s what ushers and venue staff are for?
It seems like this was a sit down venue where the girls were the only ones standing up to take photos. I can see where that is more disruptive than a concert where everyone is standing up and dancing and moving around. It seems like that was Miranda Lambert’s real issue with it. I don’t think she necessarily cared…
A Fish Called Wanda feels under-remembered these days. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it.
That is definitely not Rachel Zegler so that much tracks.
Something is minimally misleading about them because that is not Rachel Zegler’s face. Maybe it’s her stand-in, maybe it’s a color test, but they are not complete set pictures.
I mean since we haven’t seen the movie yet, it’s just as possible they’ll say her name is Snow White for any other number of reasons.
TLM23 has made $524 million and is still playing in many areas.
Al Pacino is one of our greatest living actors and watching so much of his work is truly a master class in subtle acting.
I mean disliking a narrative that helps to support conspiracy theories about child sex-trafficking while ignoring the very real ways that children are trafficked and hurt everyday while also creating a classic white-savior narrative to boot is a hill I’m more than ready to die on.
If you want to save the poor children, surely you can suffer through your AMC chain not having air conditioning...
They lampshaded the documentary thing in the movies and it was just ultimately used to show the disconnect between the vampires and reality. They did a bit over the credits where the audience was hypnotized to forget.
